JSC Château Mukhrani is looking for a professional, passionate, and motivated Sommelier / Wine Consultant to join our team.

The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of wine, excellent communication and customer service skills, a passion for wine and gastronomy, and the ability to create exceptional guest experiences through professional wine recommendations and food pairing.
Key Responsibilities - Recommend and sell wines and other beverages to guests based on their preferences, menu selections, and occasions. - Select appropriate wines, including vintages, to complement specific dishes and menus. - Provide professional wine recommendations for special occasions, celebrations, and private events. - Maintain strong knowledge of wine regions, grape varieties, vintages, producers, and current industry trends. - Stay up to date with developments and new releases in the wine industry. - Provide wine service for restaurant guests - Conduct regular wine education sessions and training classes for staff. - Ensure all service staff understand which wines are best recommended with specific dishes. - Carry out monthly wine stock control and inventory. - Monitor proper wine storage, handling, and service to ensure efficient use and minimize waste. - Perform regular service duties as assigned. - Liaise regularly with management regarding new wine releases, supplier information, and guest feedback. - Monitor guest satisfaction and contribute to maintaining high service standards in accordance with the organization's quality management procedures. - Collect, document, and maintain relevant wine-related information, guest feedback, and communications. - Maintain organized filing and retrieval systems for historical and operational records. - Follow all safety, security, and workplace procedures. - Demonstrate punctuality, reliability, and readiness to work overtime when required. - Perform any other duties assigned by the direct supervisor within the scope of the position.
Required Knowledge & Expertise - Strong knowledge of the history and geography of wine. - Good understanding of viticulture and grape-growing practices. - Good understanding of vinification / winemaking processes. - Knowledge of the wine market and current industry trends. - Strong knowledge of wine and food pairing. - Excellent sensory skills, including the ability to distinguish and evaluate wine aromas, flavors, structure, character, and quality. - Passion for wine and continuous professional development.
Qualifications & Skills - Higher education. - Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience. - Fluency in Georgian, English and Russian. - Strong public speaking and presentation skills. - Excellent customer service and communication skills. - Ability to assess customer needs and provide personalized recommendations. - Computer literacy. - Strong organizational and documentation skills. - Pleasant and professional personality. - Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills. - High level of responsibility, attention to detail, and commitment. - Positive, energetic, and constructive approach to work. - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
