Construction Engineer - Inspector

An inspection body is announcing a vacancy for a Construction Engineer - Inspector (Inspector for inspecting the technical condition of an object or part thereof).

Work schedule: Full-time; Work location: Tbilisi, A. Kazbegi st. N24g; Remuneration: To be agreed upon.

Main tasks:

• Visual inspection of the object;
• Identification and detection of defects, if any;
• Performing measurement works, taking necessary measurements, checking the condition of structural elements and their damage degree;
• Clarifying the design and calculation scheme of the building structures and the main dimensions of the structures;
• Visual examination of visible parts of building structures, identification of defects and their photo fixing with the relevant date;
• Assessment of the condition of visible surfaces of structural elements, identification of defects and damages, determination of their dimensions and photo fixing with the relevant date;
• Determination of the condition of foundation structures for buildings and structures according to visibility and photo fixing with the relevant date;
• Determination of physical and mechanical properties of the construction material by non-destructive control methods and photo fixing with the relevant date;
• Photo fixing of opened / open constructions (without backlogs) with the relevant date;
• Identification of emergency parts (if any) and photo fixing with the relevant date;
• Determination of deformations of building structures, if any (bends, deviations, cracks, etc.) and photo fixing with the relevant date;
• Clarification of the reinforcement scheme and assessment of the condition of reinforcement by non-destructive methods. If necessary, assessment of the condition through opening of the construction and photo fixing with the relevant date;
• Assessment of the condition of building structures based on the results of instrumental examination;
• Compilation of an inspection report based on the data obtained.

Qualification requirements:

• Master's or equivalent academic degree in construction-related specialties;
• Experience in design and construction in industrial and civil construction;
• Ability to work with modern programs for calculating the bearing capacity of building structures;
• Experience in examining load-bearing structures of buildings and structures;
• At least 10 years of work experience in the relevant field;
• In-depth knowledge of relevant legislative and normative acts;
• Computer skills: knowledge of Microsoft Office programs;
