Assistant Educator

School "Saduni" is announcing a vacancy for the position of Assistant Educator.

Location: Tbilisi, David Bakradze St. №15 Work schedule: Full-time

Qualifications:

• Have at least a professional education;
• Have a 5th level professional qualification in preschool education or a higher professional qualification in preschool education;
• Have a professional qualification in education or pedagogy, with at least 2 years of experience working as an educator, other educational personnel, or group assistant personnel.

Competencies:

• Knowledge of standards and regulations in the field of early and preschool education and the ability to apply them in practice;
• Knowledge of principles of educational process management and the ability to apply them in practice;
• Knowledge of child protection procedures;
• Knowledge of principles of child health, healthy nutrition, and safety protection and the ability to apply them in practice;
• Knowledge of principles of inclusive education and the ability to apply them in practice;
• Ability to develop and implement projects;
• Planning and organization skills;
• Ability to collaborate with family and community;
• Ability to work independently;
• Teamwork skills;
• Ability to use office programs (Word, Power Point) and digital technologies;

Functions:

** Ensures the life and health of each child. ** Protects standards and regulations related to health, safety, hygiene and nutrition.

** Monitors the health status of each child and, if necessary, refers to the relevant institution in accordance with the rules of the institution, and also provides assistance to the child in case of emergency.

** Meets the children in the school foyer in the morning and bids them farewell in the evening.

** Together with the educator, leads the educational process, taking into account the age-related development of the child.

** In the process of planning and implementing the educational process, closely cooperates with the educator and/or other educational personnel working in the group to ensure the holistic and multifaceted development of each child.

** Together with the educator, leads the educational process in accordance with the approved curriculum.

** Uses various educational strategies when conducting the educational process with educators.

** Applies the principles of universal design for learning when arranging the educational environment together with educators;

** Creates/adapts the educational environment together with educators, taking into account the needs, abilities, and level of development of each child, and uses appropriate strategies.

** Participates in the work of the multidisciplinary team (if available).

** If necessary, creates an individual education and development plan for a child with special educational needs together with educators.

** Ensures the active involvement of each child in the planning and implementation of various stages of the educational process (e.g., creates educational resources together with the educator, establishes a daily schedule, group rules, etc.).

** Together with the educator, includes physical activities to be carried out both indoors and outdoors in the daily schedule of the educational process.

** Uses various forms and strategies of effective communication when cooperating with the family and community of each child, in agreement with the educator.

** Uses community resources when conducting the educational process.

** Organizedly hands over children to their educator, is responsible for the protection and storage of educational items, tools, and the entire property of the group;

** Ensures cleanliness in their group and participates in the general cleaning of the building and adjacent territory with the personnel.

** Helps children maintain cleanliness and hygiene.

** Organizes the setting and clearing of tables during meals.

** Organizes the cleaning of group rooms and maintaining order.

** Ensures the safety of children during the day.

** Assists the educator in organizing resources.

** Helps the educator in taking children to the playground and other places determined by the curriculum.

** Attends professional development trainings organized by the kindergarten administration twice a year.

Workload:

5 days a week, 40 working hours.
