The Georgian-American International School Progress announces a vacancy for a Special Teacher position in Kutaisi.

The American School Progress in Kutaisi is opening its second international standard campus for children aged 3-9! The project was created specifically for early and primary education levels, where American standards and modern teaching methodologies will be combined. The new campus will provide a continuous educational cycle - from kindergarten to elementary school. The educational process will take place in an English-language environment, which will prepare children for global competitiveness from an early educational stage. The four-story modern building is designed for up to 600 students and includes bright, ergonomic classrooms, age-specific laboratories, a library, creative workshops, a stage-auditorium, a cafeteria, indoor and outdoor sports facilities, recreational areas, and an internal courtyard, which will be fully adapted to the physical and emotional development of the child.

Position Title: Special Teacher Location: Kutaisi, Z. Anjaparidze St. №120 Schedule: Full-time Monthly remuneration: Depending on experience.

Main duties and responsibilities: - If necessary, composing an individual educational plan with the subject teacher based on the student's assessment; - Implementation of activities provided by the student's development plan in a predetermined manner and under certain conditions; - Working individually with children without status, observing difficult behaviors and responding accordingly; - Producing and presenting a report on achieving IEP goals to the IEP group; - If necessary, consulting with teachers, class tutors, and parents/guardians of students with special needs; - According to the specifics of the work, performing other powers in accordance with the goals and objectives of the institution.

Qualification requirements: - Higher education - Master's or equivalent academic degree. - 1 year of work experience.

Additional required competencies: - MS Office (Word - very good, Excel - good, PPT - very good); - Experience in teamwork, team management, and strategic planning; - Ability to identify and support human interests and abilities; - Empathy and support; - Effective communication, ability to gain trust and build relationships; - Flexibility and independence; - Receptivity to different opinions and innovations; - Planning and organization skills; - Logical and analytical thinking; - Ability to negotiate; - Effective time management; - Fluent verbal and written communication; - High sense of responsibility; - High work activity; - Ability to initiate innovations and changes.
