Academic Competition for Business and Technology Direction

The University of Georgia - SEU announces an open competition for the Faculty of Business and Technology, for the academic positions of Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor in the following directions:

Competition vacancy:

Direction - Computer Networks

** Professor - 1 vacancy. Subject group - Modern network technologies, information security, cybersecurity, cloud computing; ** Associate Professor (academic/professional) - 2 vacancies. Subject group - Modern network technologies, information security, cybersecurity, cloud computing; ** Assistant Professor (academic/professional) - 1 vacancy. Subject group - Modern network technologies, information security, cybersecurity, cloud computing.

Direction - Programming

** Professor - 2 vacancies. Subject group - Programming language: C++, software engineering: ** Associate Professor (academic/professional) - 1 vacancy. Subject group - Programming language: C++, software engineering; ** Assistant Professor (academic/professional) - 1 vacancy. Subject group - Programming language: C++, software engineering: ** Associate Professor (academic/professional) - 1 vacancy. Direction - Data Analytics

A person is elected to the academic position of Professor and Associate Professor for a term of 4 years, and to the academic position of Assistant Professor for a term of 3 years.

To occupy an academic position, the candidate must meet the requirements established for the competitive vacancy (academic/professional), according to the following criteria:

For the position of Professor:

** A doctoral or equivalent academic degree;

** At least 6 (six) years of experience in scientific-pedagogical work at a higher educational institution;

** Authorship/co-authorship of scientific publications published within the last 5 (five) years in the field of the relevant course/courses;

** Vision of academic activity;

** Presentation of the syllabus(es) of the relevant course/courses corresponding to the educational program;

** B2 level English language proficiency document (only for English-language programs).

For the position of Associate Professor, based on academic criteria:

** A doctoral or equivalent academic degree;

** At least 3 (three) years of experience in scientific-pedagogical work at a higher educational institution;

** Authorship/co-authorship of scientific publications published within the last 5 (five) years in the field of the relevant course/courses;

** Vision of academic activity;

** Presentation of the syllabus(es) of the relevant course/courses corresponding to the educational program;

For the position of Associate Professor, based on professional criteria:

** At least a master's or equivalent academic degree;

** At least 5 years of work experience in the relevant field, related to practical activities in the field;

** Scientific publication(s) published within the last 5 (five) years in the field of the relevant course/courses;

** Vision of academic activity;

** Presentation of the syllabus(es) of the relevant course/courses corresponding to the educational program;

** B2 level English language proficiency document (only for English-language programs).

For the position of Assistant Professor, based on academic criteria:

** A doctoral or equivalent academic degree;

** Scientific publication(s) published within the last 5 (five) years in the field of the relevant course/courses;

** Vision of academic activity;

** Presentation of the syllabus(es) of the relevant course/courses corresponding to the educational program;

** B2 level English language proficiency document (only for English-language programs).

For the position of Assistant Professor, based on professional criteria:

** At least a Master's degree or equivalent academic degree;

** At least 3 years of work experience in the relevant field, related to practical activities in the field;

** Scientific publications published within the last 10 years in the direction of the relevant course/curriculum theme;

** Vision for academic activity (to be filled in the competition application form);

** Presentation of the syllabus(es) of the relevant course/courses of the educational program;

** B2 level English language proficiency document (only for English-language programs).

If the number of applicants selected by the main competitive criteria for a specific academic position exceeds the number of competitive vacancies, the following additional criteria will be used to select the winners:

** Participation in scientific conferences, scientific scholarships and grants;

** Participation in professional development events;

** Experience of studying/teaching at European universities;
