Junior Technical Engineer

LLC ALUMET announces a vacancy for the position of Junior Technical Engineer – Estimation & Project Planning.

ALUMET is a construction company specializing in aluminum and glass facade systems, doors and windows, ventilated facades, and other modern facade solutions.

We are looking for a motivated, analytically-minded, and development-oriented Junior Engineer to join our Technical Office team. The successful candidate will be involved in project cost estimation, planning, performance control, and preparation of technical and commercial documentation. We do not require candidates to have extensive experience in the facade industry.

What matters most: Strong logical thinking, excellent Excel skills, ability to work with numbers, accuracy, responsibility, and a desire to quickly absorb new information.

The position involves direct collaboration with the company's management and technical team, as well as the opportunity to study the entire project cycle in practice – from initial project assessment to its implementation.

Key Responsibilities - Preparation of project PQ / BOQ / estimates in accordance with the company's existing formats and standards; - Processing of necessary information and quantities from design and technical drawings; - Processing and systematization of material quantities required for projects; - Processing, comparison, analysis, and control of large volumes of information in Excel; - Preparation of comparative tables of suppliers' prices and offers; - Preparation of information necessary for calculating project self-cost; - Preparation of Commercial Offers in accordance with the company's existing formats; - Preparation and updating of project timelines in Microsoft Project; - Comparison of planned and actual progress of work; - Preparation of periodic reports and tables on project performance; - Processing of volumes of work performed; - Participation in the preparation of documents for completed works, including acts of completion, IPC documentation; - Systematization of information on financial and physical progress of projects; - Organization of project-related data and documents within the Technical Office; - Coordination of necessary information with engineers, procurement, project, and other relevant departments; - Gradual improvement and automation of existing Excel forms, reports, and work instruments.

Qualification Requirements - Higher education or a student in the final year, preferably in the following fields: - Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Industrial Engineering or other technical specialties; - Very good knowledge of Microsoft Excel - required; - The candidate must be able to not only process data in Excel, but also understand their logic, identify errors and find ways to simplify the work process; - Ability to work freely with formulas and large amounts of data in Excel;

Desirable knowledge of tools such as: - XLOOKUP / INDEX-MATCH, SUMIFS, Pivot Tables, Conditional Formatting and other data analysis functions; - Knowledge of Microsoft Project or the ability to quickly learn it; - Basic ability to read construction and technical drawings; - Good ability to work with numbers and quantitative information; - Strong logical and analytical thinking; - Special attention to detail; - Ability to structure information in an organized manner; - Responsibility and adherence to deadlines; - Ability to quickly master new programs and work methods.

Languages - Georgian - fluently; - Russian - required, at a working level; - English - desirable at a working level;

The candidate must be able to communicate on technical issues and understand working documentation in the relevant languages.

Additional advantages will be considered - Knowledge of Power Query; - Knowledge of AutoCAD; - Experience in preparing BOQ / cost estimates; - Work experience in Microsoft Project;

Construction/engineering experience. - This experience is not a mandatory requirement. - We are ready to consider a candidate who does not have experience in the field of facades, but has strong technical and analytical skills and a high motivation for professional development.
