Academic Competition - Computer Science and Artificial

LLC Black Sea International University announces an open competition for the academic positions of Associate Professor and Assistant Professor in the following fields, effective August 06, 2026:

Competition vacancies:

** Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning: Associate Professor - 1 vacancy (academic position);

** Computer Science Technologies and Aspects: Assistant Professor - 2 vacancies (academic and professional positions);

** Computer Networks: Assistant Professor - 2 vacancies (academic and professional positions);

** Computer Architecture: Assistant Professor - 2 vacancies (academic and professional positions);

** Operating Systems: Assistant Professor - 2 vacancies (academic and professional positions);

** Probability and Statistics: Assistant Professor - 2 vacancies (academic and professional positions);

Qualification requirements:

To participate in the competition, applicants must meet the required criteria for the respective vacancy:

Associate Professor - academic position

** A doctoral or equivalent academic degree in the relevant field; ** At least 3 years of scientific-pedagogical experience in a higher educational institution; ** Scientific publications in the last 5 years related to the thematic area of the relevant course/courses; ** Vision for academic activity; ** Presentation of the syllabus of the relevant course/courses of the educational program; ** Knowledge of the relevant language for teaching at least at B2 level (for English-language programs).

Associate Professor - professional position

** At least a master's or equivalent academic degree; ** At least 5 years of work experience in the relevant field, related to practical activities in the field; ** At least 3 years of scientific-pedagogical experience in a higher educational institution; ** Scientific publications in the last 5 years related to the thematic area of the relevant course/courses; ** Vision for academic activity; ** Presentation of the syllabus of the relevant course/courses of the educational program; ** A document confirming B2 level English language proficiency (only for English-language programs).

Assistant Professor - academic position

** A doctoral or equivalent academic degree in the relevant field; ** A scientific publication or publications related to the relevant course(s) published within the last 10 years; ** A vision for academic activity; ** Presentation of the syllabus (syllabi) of the relevant course(s) of the educational program; ** Knowledge of the language of instruction at least at B2 level (for English-language programs).

Assistant Professor - by professional sign

** At least a master's or equivalent academic degree; ** At least 3 years of work experience in the relevant field, related to practical activities in the field; ** A vision for academic activity; ** Presentation of the syllabus (syllabi) of the relevant course(s) of the educational program; ** A document confirming B2 level English language proficiency (only for English-language programs).

If the number of contestants selected by the basic competitive criteria for a specific academic position exceeds the number of competitive vacancies, the following additional criteria will be used to select the winners:

** Practical experience of working in the relevant field; ** Participation in scientific conferences, scientific scholarships and grants; ** Participation in professional development events; ** Experience of studying/teaching at European universities; ** Knowledge of English; ** Experience of working in the structures/projects of international organizations.

Documentation to be submitted for the competition:

** Application for participation in the competition, in the established form (indicate only one position/direction) (see attachment);

** The contestant's questionnaire, filled in the established form (see attachment);

** A copy of the identity document;

** A copy of all documents confirming the received education/academic degree (a document issued according to the legally established procedure for recognition of education or scientific degree obtained abroad, if any);

** Documents confirming scientific-pedagogical activity and/or professional experience in the relevant direction;

** Vision of academic activity;

** Publications (to be filled in the competition questionnaire);

** Syllabi of the relevant program's constituent/offered courses;

** A certificate "on conviction for crimes against sexual freedom and inviolability";

** A certificate "on deprivation of rights" (according to the legislation of Georgia, employment/activity in a higher education institution is prohibited for a person convicted of sexual crimes or a person whose right to work in an educational institution has been revoked by the court);

** A document confirming the level of English language proficiency (at least B2) (only for English-language programs).

English language competence will be considered confirmed by the contestant in one of the following cases:

** If a document confirming higher education received in the relevant language is presented;

** If a document confirming experience in teaching a higher education program/course in the relevant language is presented;

** If an internationally recognized certificate of language competence is presented, which confirms the contestant's proficiency in the relevant language at least at the B2 level.
