Director of Quality

LLC "Viani" "M. Iashvili's Batumi Central Maternity and Children's Hospital" announces a vacancy for the position of Director of Quality.

Main Functions and Responsibilities

• Ensuring the effective functioning of the quality management system in the hospital, constant monitoring and improvement of the quality of medical services and patient safety;
• Development and coordination of implementation of the strategy for quality and patient safety development, annual goals and action plans in accordance with the hospital's strategic goals;
• Coordination of development, implementation and periodic update of quality management, clinical quality and patient safety policies and procedures;
• Determination of quality and patient safety indicators, systematic monitoring of data, analysis and presentation of results to the management;
• Coordination of the process of identification, assessment and management of clinical and non-clinical risks;
• Control of registration, analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive measures for incidents, adverse events and near miss cases;
• Planning and coordination of internal audits, management of identified non-compliances and monitoring of corrective actions;
• Coordination of the hospital's accreditation process and compliance with international/national quality standards;
• Identification of systemic problems, analysis of causes and planning and implementation of process improvement initiatives in collaboration with hospital management and clinical teams;
• Participation in analysis of patient complaints and feedback results and planning of quality improvement measures;
• Coordination of monitoring of medical documentation quality and compliance with established requirements;
• Management of the subordinate team, effective distribution of functions, support for employees' professional development and performance;
• Monitoring of legislative and regulatory requirements related to medical activities, quality and patient safety, coordination of implementation of changes and control of performance;
• Cooperation with regulatory, control and accreditation bodies within the competence and coordination of the assessment/inspection process.

Qualification Requirements:

• Higher education in medicine or public health is required. A state certificate in a medical specialty is desirable;
• 2 years of work experience in a managerial position;
• At least 5 years of work experience in the medical field is desirable.

Essential Knowledge

• Current legislative and regulatory requirements in the field of healthcare in Georgia; knowledge of international quality and accreditation standards is preferred.
• Basic principles of quality management and patient safety;
• Development, monitoring and data analysis of quality indicators;
• Principles of risk management, incident analysis and planning of corrective/preventive measures (CAPA);
• Methodology of internal audit and process assessment;
• Knowledge of English at the level of using professional documentation;
• MS Office programs.
