"World Vision Georgia" is announcing a vacancy in the 24-hour shelter for homeless children for the following positions:

1. Assistant Educator 2. Senior Educator

The 24-hour shelter for homeless children combines a day center and a crisis intervention overnight shelter.

The goal of the day center is to assess children referred by the mobile team or involved in the service in other ways, provide psychological and medical assistance based on identified needs, and provide formal and informal education to gradually wean children off street life and stably integrate them into the day center services, with the aim of placing them in 24-hour transitional services or other services.

The crisis intervention shelter operates in conjunction with the day center, and its main goal is to provide emergency shelter and assistance (satisfaction of primary medical and psycho-emotional needs) to children in crisis situations (those living on the streets without supervision, those left without housing, victims of violence, etc.) and determine a long-term care plan for the child.

1. Assistant Educator

Location: Tbilisi, Gldani

Working hours: 40 hours per week (with summarized accounting)

Work schedule: The work schedule is notified to the employee in advance; the employee's schedule may be within three types of working days:

• Shift in 24-hour shift: working hours: from 10:00 AM to 10:00 AM the next day, break 1 (one) hour in the period from 12:00 to 17:00 and 3 (three) hours in the period from 01:00 to 07:00 with agreement with the colleague;
• Night shift: working hours start at 19:00 and end at 10:00, break 3 (three) hours in the period from 01:00 to 07:00 with agreement with the colleague;
• Day shift: working hours start at 10:00 and end at 19:00, break 1 (one) hour in the period from 12:00 to 17:00.

Position purpose: The purpose of the Assistant Educator position is to replace center educators during vacations and sick leaves, and during this time, he/she will be responsible for the physical and emotional safety of the day center and crisis intervention overnight shelter's children, increasing children's awareness of vital skills, health, and self-care skills, and involving them in informal education activities.

Main responsibilities:

** To replace the educator and senior educator during their leave. ** To supervise the physical and emotional safety of the child during their stay in the center; ** To raise children's awareness and provide information on vital skills, health and self-care skills; ** To supervise children's hygiene, self-care and clothing arrangements; ** To provide basic elements of education (reading, writing and counting) to children if necessary; ** To organize various activities (entertainment, cognitive) for children and participate in activities with them; ** To ensure the administration of medications in case the child has a relevant prescription; ** To keep records of behavioral and emotional problems of children using the night shelter; ** To participate in the development of an individual plan for the child's service together with a multidisciplinary team; ** To complete the child's intake protocol / relevant document when the child is admitted to the center; ** To ensure that children are taken to and from school in accordance with relevant rules; ** To ensure the confidentiality of beneficiary information; ** To comply with the internal regulations / regulations / standards of the day center and the night shelter.

Mandatory requirements:

** Secondary education; higher or relevant special education in the field of education / pedagogy is desirable ** Experience working with children and young people in an educational institution (at least 2 years) ** Similar work experience (at least 2 years) ** Communication skills ** Teamwork skills ** Organizational and planning / management skills ** Attention to detail ** Ability to manage difficult situations

2. Senior Educator

Location: Tbilisi, Gldani Working hours: 40 hours per week (with summarized accounting) Work schedule: on-call every 4 days, 24-hour shift. During holidays / bulletins, the schedule may change as follows: on-call from 7:00 pm to 10:00 am, every 2 days.

The purpose of the position: to oversee the physical and emotional safety of the day center and crisis intervention night shelter, to raise children's awareness about vital skills, health and self-care skills and to involve them in informal education activities.

Key responsibilities:

** To ensure the children's awareness and provide information on vital skills, health and self-care abilities;

** To involve children in informal education activities;

** To involve children in intellectual-cognitive, sports and entertainment activities;

** To supervise the child's physical and emotional safety during their stay at the center;

** To oversee the children's hygienic condition, self-care and clothing organization;

** To ensure the administration of medications in case the child has a relevant prescription;

** To provide basic education elements (reading-writing and arithmetic) to children if necessary;

** To assess children's education level;

** To participate in compiling an individual service plan for the child together with a multidisciplinary team;

** To keep records of progress in relation to the objectives of the primary care plan that require the involvement of a teacher;
