Position Title: Mobile Group Peer Educator

Workplace: Tbilisi Work Schedule: 40 hours per week; on-call every 4th day (including weekends and non-working days) in 24-hour shifts

Within the framework of the joint sub-program "Provision of shelters for homeless children" of the international organization World Vision Georgia and the Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Protection of Georgia, the State Agency for State Care and Assistance to Victims of Trafficking, the mobile group operates. The goal of the mobile group is to identify street-connected children, register them, connect them with various services they need, and ensure their long-term psychosocial rehabilitation. Within the framework of the emergency response program, members of the mobile group (state social worker, psychologist, peer educator, and administrative worker) undertake to respond to hotline calls from the Ministry of Health and emergency cases related to children every 4th day (including non-working hours and days off).

Position Purpose and Main Responsibilities: The purpose of the position is: - To assist other members of the mobile group in finding homeless, street-connected, at-risk, and vulnerable children, removing them from violent situations, transferring them to a safe environment, and establishing communication with them. - Also, within the framework of a 24-hour response mechanism in emergency cases, - To work 24-hour shifts every 4th day and provide an appropriate response to received notifications, - To protect children from various forms of violence.

The main goal of this role is to easily establish communication with children based on past experiences of living/working on the streets or being in state care, and to help the mobile group gain their trust by sharing personal experiences, interest them in various services, and serve as a role model. - Respond to received notifications within the 24-hour emergency response mechanism in urgent cases; - Assist mobile group members in protecting children from repeated violence (re-victimization) within the 24-hour emergency response mechanism, and ensure their safe placement in a suitable environment; - Work in coordination with other mobile group members in a cohesive and closely coordinated manner; - Assist the mobile group (based on personal experience) in establishing initial communication and rapport with beneficiaries; - Build trust-based relationships with children and help other group members establish constructive relationships with them; - Help mobile group members find and identify street-involved and working children; - Collaborate with mobile group members to connect beneficiaries with relevant services, ensure their engagement, and facilitate their integration into society; - Upon request of the Mobile Group Senior Social Worker, perform the functions of a minor's procedural representative in law enforcement agencies. - Adhere to the organization's internal policies and act in accordance with the Child and Adult Beneficiary Protection Code of Conduct - Perform other position-related responsibilities within the scope of competence as assigned by the manager.

Qualification requirements: As a peer educator, the mobile group assists in establishing communication and trust with street-involved children and serves as a role model; therefore, the following requirements are necessary: - Experience living/working on the streets or in state care, and be integrated into society. - Strong communication skills; - Knowledge of the needs and challenges of street-involved and working children; - Sense of responsibility; - Teamwork; - Ability to remain calm in difficult situations;
