Academic Competition for Business/Administration Positions

The University of Georgia - SEU announces an open competition for the academic positions of Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Business and Technology, effective July 31, 2026, in the following fields:

Fields of competition:

Field - Mathematics:

* Associate Professor (academic position) - 3 vacancies Subject group - Mathematics for Business.

Field - Economics:

* Professor - 1 vacancy Subject group - Principles of Microeconomics, Principles of Macroeconomics. * Associate Professor (academic position) - 1 vacancy Subject group - Principles of Microeconomics, Principles of Macroeconomics.

Field - Management:

* Associate Professor (academic position) - 1 vacancy Subject group - Risk and Operations Management. * Associate Professor (academic position) - 1 vacancy Subject group - International Business Management. * Associate Professor (academic position) - 1 vacancy Subject group - Innovation Management and Development Strategies.

Field - Finance

* Professor - 1 vacancy Subject group - Financial Audit, Taxes and Taxation; * Assistant Professor (academic position) - 1 vacancy. Subject group - Financial Theory (English-language).

Field - Human Resource Management:

* Associate Professor (academic position) - 1 vacancy Subject group - Organizational Behavior, Performance and Change Management. * Associate Professor (academic position) - 1 vacancy Subject group - Strategic HRM, Human Resource Management in Public Service.

Field - Banking * Professor - 1 vacancy Subject group - Banking Management, Financial System Oversight and Regulation.

A person is elected to the academic position of Professor and Associate Professor for a term of 4 years, and to the academic position of Assistant Professor - for a term of 3 years.

The candidate for the academic position must meet the requirements established for the competitive vacancy (academic/professional position) according to the following criteria:

For the academic position of Professor:

• Doctor's or equivalent academic degree;
• At least 6 (six) years of scientific-pedagogical experience in a higher educational institution;
• Authorship/co-authorship of scientific publications published in the last 5 (five) years in the direction of the relevant course/course themes;
• Vision of academic activity;
• Presentation of the syllabus(es) of the relevant course/course of the educational program;
• A document confirming the B2 level of English language proficiency (only for English-language programs).

For the academic position of Associate Professor - academic position:

** A doctoral or equivalent academic degree;

** At least 3 years of experience in scientific-pedagogical work at a higher educational institution;

** Authorship/co-authorship of scientific publications in the field of the relevant course(s) published within the last 5 years;

** Vision for academic activity;

** Presentation of the syllabus(es) of the relevant course(s) corresponding to the educational program;

** A document confirming B2 level of English language proficiency (only for English-language programs).

For the position of Associate Professor - based on professional criteria:

** At least a master's or equivalent academic degree;

** At least 5 years of work experience in the relevant field, related to practical activities in a leading position.

** At least 3 years of experience in scientific-pedagogical work at a higher educational institution;

** Scientific publication(s) in the field of the relevant course(s) published within the last 5 years;

** Vision for academic activity;

** Presentation of the syllabus(es) of the relevant course(s) corresponding to the educational program;

** A document confirming B2 level of English language proficiency (only for English-language programs).

For the position of Assistant Professor - based on academic criteria:

** A doctoral or equivalent academic degree;

** Scientific publication(s) in the field of the relevant course(s) published within the last 5 years;

** Vision for academic activity;

** Presentation of the syllabus(es) of the relevant course(s) corresponding to the educational program;

** A document confirming B2 level of English language proficiency (only for English-language programs).

For the position of Assistant Professor - based on professional criteria:

** At least a master's or equivalent academic degree;

** At least 3 years of work experience in the relevant field, related to practical activities in a leading position.

** Vision for academic activity;

** Presentation of the syllabus(es) of the relevant course(s) corresponding to the educational program;

** Scientific publication(s) in the field of the relevant course(s) published within the last 5 years;

** A document confirming B2 level of English language proficiency (only for English-language programs).

If the number of contestants selected based on the main competitive criteria for a specific academic position exceeds the number of competitive vacancies, the following additional criteria will be used to select the winners:

** Practical experience working in the relevant field;

** Participation in scientific conferences, academic scholarships, and grants;

** Participation in professional development events;

** Experience studying or teaching at European universities;

** Knowledge of English;

** Experience working in international organization structures/projects.
