Association “SOS Children's Village Georgia” within the framework of the Early Childhood Intervention Program, announces the following vacancy: Early Childhood Development Specialist Work location: Kutaisi The main goal of the activity: To stimulate the development of children from birth to 7 years old with disabilities, developmental disorders, or at risk of such, to facilitate their inclusion in pre-school or general education programs or alternative services, and to promote social integration.

Work load - full time

Key functions and responsibilities: - Assessment of the child and family - Conducting visits to the families of beneficiaries - Planning and implementation of work based on individual needs - Ensuring parental involvement in the process of planning and implementation of work - Working with a multidisciplinary team created within the program - Keeping information on current and closed cases properly - Working in an electronic database system and producing relevant statistics

Mandatory requirements: - Higher education in one of the following specialties: occupational therapist, speech therapist (logopedist), physical therapist, psychologist, social worker - Possession of an early childhood development certificate; - 1 year of experience working with children (preference will be given to experience working with children from 0 to 6 years old) - Knowledge of child development patterns and stages; - Ability to identify and support the interests and abilities of beneficiaries - Ability to empathize and support beneficiaries - Effective communication, ability to gain trust and build relationships - Flexibility and independence - Self-control and ability to remain calm in difficult and stressful situations - Planning and organization skills - Teamwork skills - Openness to different opinions and innovations - Knowledge of computer office programs - Knowledge of a foreign language is desirable - Sharing the vision and goals of SOS Children's Village
