Qualifications:

• At least a Bachelor's academic degree in Psychology;
• Work experience: at least 2 years of experience working in a school;

Competencies:

General competencies:

• Ability to write and speak fluently in Georgian;
• Knowledge of computer programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
• Knowledge of foreign languages (English, German) is desirable;
• Decision-making and problem-solving skills;
• Effective communication skills with groups and individuals;
• Ability to reflect on own activities;
• Time management skills;

Minimum competencies specific to the position:

• Knowledge of the Law of Georgia "On General Education";
• Knowledge of teacher professional ethics and student code of conduct;
• Knowledge of the administrative part of the national curriculum;
• Knowledge of classical and modern theories of psychology;
• Ability to evaluate classical and modern theories of pedagogy;
• Ability to diagnose the current educational situation and predict future activities;
• Ability to assess student achievements, learning outcomes, and implement interventions.
• Ability to create a supportive learning environment;
• Ability to analyze the specifics of the education sector;

Functions:

** Facilitate the learning and upbringing process;

** Observe students and draw relevant conclusions when necessary;

** Share information received while protecting personal data with specific individuals employed at the school;

** Develop recommendations for school staff, students, and their parents/legal representatives;

** Identify factors that hinder or facilitate the personal development of school students and provide relevant information to specific individuals;

** Provide assistance to school students, parents (legal representatives), and the pedagogical collective in solving specific problems;

** Write characterizations of students within the competence of the position, if necessary;

** Participate in the school's educational activities, development and planning of developmental and corrective programs, taking into account the individual and age characteristics of school students. Facilitate students' development of skills to handle various life situations and professional self-determination, manage free time, and make correct decisions (orientation);

** Conduct interviews with students and their parents/legal representatives;

** Facilitate the adaptation of school students to school and monitor their psycho-emotional readiness when necessary;

** Establish healthy relationships between children and the pedagogical collective;

** Develop recommendations and conduct necessary work in case of conflict situations;

** Observe and analyze the individual characteristics of children;

** Develop recommendations to improve the school's internal culture based on observation and analysis results;

** Conduct lectures and conversations to raise the culture of relationships among teachers, parents, and students;

** Facilitate and cooperate with the relevant group in inclusive education;

** Work with students with special social and educational needs;

** Perform other tasks assigned by the General Director, Director, and Deputies within the competence of the position.

Working hours: 5 days a week, 40 working hours.
