Academic Staff for the Faculty of Medicine

LLC "European University" announces an open competition for the selection of academic staff for the Faculty of Medicine, for English-language and Georgian-language one-cycle educational programs of a diploma in medicine, in the following areas:

1. For the English-language one-cycle educational program of a diploma in medicine (on an academic basis):

a) Clinical Diagnostics - 1 Professor, 1 Associate Professor;

b) Oncology - 1 Associate Professor;

c) Healthcare - 1 Professor, 1 Associate Professor.

2. For the Georgian-language one-cycle educational program of a diploma in medicine (on an academic basis):

a) Pediatrics - 1 Associate Professor, 1 Assistant Professor;

b) Internal Medicine - 1 Associate Professor, 1 Assistant Professor.

Competition (qualification) requirements:

For a candidate to occupy the academic position of Professor (on an academic basis), the candidate must meet the following requirements:

a) Have a doctoral or equivalent academic degree;

b) Have at least 6 years of scientific-pedagogical work experience;

c) Have published scientific publications or co-authored publications (within the last 5 years) in the direction of the relevant course topics;

d) Have experience in developing a relevant course syllabus;

e) Know English at least at B2 level;

f) Possess a certificate of the relevant specialty (in the case of Clinical Diagnostics).

For a candidate to occupy the academic position of Associate Professor (on an academic basis), the candidate must meet the following requirements:

a) Have a doctoral or equivalent academic degree;

b) Have at least 3 years of scientific-pedagogical work experience, and in the case of clinical disciplines, at least 3 years of pedagogical experience and at least 5 years of clinical experience;

c) Have published scientific publications or co-authored publications (within the last 5 years) in the direction of the relevant course topics;

d) Have experience in developing a relevant course syllabus;

e) Know English at least at B2 level;

f) Possess a certificate of the relevant specialty (in the case of clinical disciplines).

For a candidate to occupy the academic position of Assistant Professor (on an academic basis), the candidate must meet the following requirements:

a) Have a doctoral or equivalent academic degree;

b) Have scientific publications or co-authorship of publications in the field of the relevant course(s) (within the last 5 years);

c) Have experience in developing a relevant course syllabus;

d) In the case of clinical disciplines, at least 3 years of clinical experience;

e) Possess a certificate of the relevant specialty.

Note: Knowledge of English is not a mandatory requirement for candidates applying to the Georgian-language program.

Documents to be submitted for the competition:

The participant is required to electronically submit (via e-mail: ) the following documents to the commission at the stage of document submission:

a) An application for participation in the competition, indicating the relevant field and academic position (the application is filled out in only one direction and for one specific position);

b) Autobiography (CV) in Georgian and English, in the format of European University (the application and CV form can be found at the following electronic link:);

c) A copy of the identity document;

d) Copies of educational documents confirming qualifications in the relevant field (if the candidate has received education abroad, they must submit a document confirming the recognition of education);

e) Copies of documents confirming scientific/pedagogical experience;

f) A list of scientific works and works or their copies (published within the last 5 years) adequate to the competitive position/field;

g) Relevant syllabi (electronic version);

h) A copy of a certificate confirming completion of training in medical education methodology (if available; if not, the university will provide retraining of personnel using its own resources);

i) A certificate from the workplace confirming clinical experience (in the case of clinical disciplines);

j) A state certificate of relevant specialty;

k) One of the documents confirming proficiency in English:

k.a) A document confirming at least 3 years of experience in teaching in an English-language program;

k.b) A document confirming the implementation of medical activities in English in a foreign clinic (for at least 1 year);

k.c) A document confirming the implementation of educational/research activities in English in a foreign research institution in the field of biomedicine (for at least 1 year);

k.d) Completion of an English-language pre-diploma or post-diploma program, confirmed by a relevant document;

k.e) An internationally recognized certificate confirming knowledge of English at least at the B2 level (IELTS, TOEFL, Cambridge English, UNIcert, EnglishScore, etc.);

l) A certificate issued by the Service Agency of the Ministry of Internal Affairs on "Conviction for crimes against sexual freedom and inviolability";

m) Other additional information/documents (if available).

The competition will be held in accordance with the "Procedure for Conducting a Competition for Academic Positions at European University LLC" and will consist of two stages:

Competition deadlines:

1. The competition is announced starting from August 13, 2026;

2. The reception of documents for those interested in taking an academic position will be conducted from September 14, 2026, to September 18, 2026;

3. The first stage of the competition will take place no later than September 25, 2026;

4. The second stage of the competition will take place no later than October 9, 2026;
