The Tbilisi Georgian-American School is announcing a vacancy for a Physical Education and Sports Teacher for 1 position.

Address: Tbilisi, Isani-Samgori district, Shuumtisi street №21.

Work schedule: 18 hours/week.

Qualification requirements:

The teaching candidate must meet the requirements set by the Teacher Professional Standard and one of the following requirements:

• Have complete general education and sports professional education and have completed a teacher training program in accordance with the procedure established by the Georgian legislation;
• Have relevant sports higher education and have completed a teacher training program in accordance with the procedure established by the Georgian legislation;
• Be a certified person before January 1, 2015;
• Be included in the scheme with at least the status of a senior teacher.

Competition stages:

• Selection of applications received according to the qualification requirements;
• Interview;
• Determination of the competition results.

Candidate selection procedure:

The candidate is evaluated and the decision is made by a special competition commission created by the school director's order.

A teacher cannot be:

• A person who has been convicted of an intentional crime and has not been removed from conviction;
• A person who has been deprived of the right to engage in pedagogical and educational activities by a court judgment due to the consumption of narcotic substances;
• A person who has been convicted of a crime against sexual freedom and inviolability, regardless of the removal of conviction.

To exclude the above circumstances, a teaching candidate, if selected for a vacant position, will be required to present relevant certificates.
