Clinical Geneticist

"ENMEDIC Clinic" is launching a new direction of clinical genetics and personalized preventive medicine and invites a clinical geneticist to the team.

Our goal is to use modern genetic and genomic research to assess patients' hereditary risks, facilitate early detection of diseases, and develop individual risk-based prevention and monitoring programs.

Main responsibilities:

** Evaluation of patient's personal and family medical history and identification of genetic risks;

** Determination of indications for genetic testing and selection of the appropriate test/panel;

** Clinical interpretation of genetic and genomic testing results;

** Evaluation of the clinical significance of pathogenic/likely pathogenic/VUS and other findings;

** Assessment of hereditary predisposition to diseases;

** Development of individual monitoring, early diagnosis, and prevention recommendations for patients with high genetic risk;

** Explanation of genetic testing results and their clinical significance to patients;

** Genetic evaluation of family members and recommendation for further testing if necessary;

** Multidisciplinary collaboration with endocrinologists, cardiologists, oncologists, gynecologists, neurologists, and other specialists at ENMEDIC;

** Professional communication with foreign partner genetic laboratories;

** Participation in the development of clinical genetics and preventive genomics.

Priority areas:

Particularly interesting is experience in the following areas:

** Oncogenetics and hereditary cancer risk;

** Cardiovascular genetics;

** Endocrine and metabolic genetics;

** Monogenic diabetes/MODY;

** Hereditary lipid disorders;

** Genetically determined obesity;

** Pharmacogenomics;

** Reproductive genetics and carrier screening;

** Clinical interpretation of NGS, WES/WGS, and multigene panels.

Qualification requirements:

** Higher medical education;

** Relevant specialization, qualification, or proven professional experience in clinical/medical genetics;

** Knowledge of clinical interpretation of genetic testing results;

** Knowledge of basic principles of modern NGS technologies, genetic panels, WES/WGS;

** Knowledge of modern principles of genetic variant classification;

** English language skills for professional medical communication;

** Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.

International experience, work with foreign genetic laboratories, and experience in clinical genomics/preventive genetics will be considered an advantage.
