Supporter/Assistant for People with Disabilities

Non-governmental organization "Hand in Hand" is a social inclusion supporter that has been operating since 2011.

The organization's goal is to create a decent family environment for people with disabilities and psycho-social needs (predominantly with intellectual disabilities), develop their skills for independent living, and promote social inclusion. The organization is actively involved in the deinstitutionalization process and advocacy for the rights of people with disabilities.

Currently, 52 beneficiaries are being served.

The small family-type house provides psycho-social rehabilitation and person-centered approach (based on the individual's wishes, priorities, and needs, taking into account their abilities) for beneficiaries over 18 years old, which is gradually developed by supporters.

The organization "Hand in Hand" is looking for people to assist in its residences.

Requirements for education and experience:

** Secondary or higher education;

** Experience in caring for others (preferably people with disabilities);

** Desirable training or qualifications in humanitarian, inclusive education, social, medical, psychology, pedagogy, or related fields.

** Teamwork and independent work;

** Ability to handle stress and criticism;

** Honesty and reliability;

Responsibilities:

** Assisting people with disabilities and promoting their integration into society, dignified treatment, and protection of their rights;

** Developing functional and professional skills necessary for independent living.

Functions/Responsibilities:

Supporting people with disabilities:

** Developing skills for independent living (self-care, self-service) and involvement in household activities;

** Responsibility for the care of people with disabilities and their living environment, as well as compliance with hygiene standards;

** Supporting the development of professional skills and employment activities;

** Promoting social integration;

** Supporting education and development;

** Supporting health, safety, and protection of rights.

Selection procedure:

** Stage 1 - CV review;

** Stage 2 - Interview;

** Stage 3 - Training and 1-month internship

** Stage 4 - Selection and contract signing.
