Math Teacher

"Tbilisi Georgian-American School" is announcing a vacancy for 1 (one) vacant position of a school Math teacher (VI-X classes).

Address: Tbilisi, Isani-Samgori district, Shuumtisi street №21.

Working hours: 18 hours/week.

Qualification requirements:

The teaching candidate must meet the requirements set by the Teacher Professional Standard and one of the following requirements:

** Have a Master's degree in Education conferred as a result of completing an integrated undergraduate and graduate educational program for teacher training (with an indication of the right to teach a relevant subject/subjects at the appropriate level of general education);

** Have a Master's degree in Education (with an indication of the right to teach a relevant subject/subjects at the appropriate level of general education) and documented subject competence in accordance with the procedure established by the Georgian legislation;

** Have a Bachelor's or equivalent academic degree in a subject/subject group provided for by the National Curriculum, have completed a teacher training program within the framework of a Bachelor's educational program, and have documented subject competence in accordance with the procedure established by the Georgian legislation;

** Have a right to teach based on a document confirming higher education and documented subject competence in accordance with the procedure established by the Georgian legislation;

** Have a Doctor's or equivalent academic degree in a subject corresponding to the National Curriculum or in Education;

** Be a person certified before January 1, 2015;

Competition stages:

** Selection of applications received according to qualification requirements;

** Interview;

** Determination of competition results.

** Must be included in the scheme with at least the status of a senior teacher.

Preference will be given to candidates who are proficient in computer office programs.

Candidate selection procedure:

The candidate is evaluated and a decision is made by a special competition commission created by the school director's order.

A teacher cannot be:

** A person who has been convicted of an intentional crime and has not been removed from conviction;

** A person whose right to work in a pedagogical and educational institution has been revoked by a court judgment due to the consumption of narcotic drugs;

** A person who has been convicted of a crime against sexual freedom and inviolability, regardless of the removal of conviction.

In order to exclude the above circumstances, a teaching candidate, if selected for a vacant position, will be required to provide relevant certificates.
