HVAC Project Engineer

The company is announcing a vacancy for the position of HVAC Project Engineer.

Main functions/responsibilities:

** Preparation of design, working (Construction), detailed (Shop Drawing) and As-Built drawings of HVAC systems (heating, ventilation, air conditioning, chiller-fan coil, VRF/VRV, ducts, pipelines) using AutoCAD and Revit MEP.

** Preparation of HVAC Layouts, Duct & Pipe Routing, Schematic and Riser Diagrams, as well as equipment placement drawings.

** Preparation/update of BOQ, technical specifications, material lists, and other design documentation, and management of Revision Control.

** Performance of building Heat Loss / Cooling Load, Air Exchange Rate, CFM / m³/h, aerodynamic and hydraulic calculations; Duct/Pipe Sizing and pressure loss determination.

** Selection of technical parameters of HVAC equipment (AHU, Chillers, VRF, Fans, FCU, Pumps, Boilers) and development of energy-efficient technical alternatives.

** Coordination of design documentation for HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, Electrical, Low Current, Architecture, and Structure directions.

** Participation in Clash Detection using Revit/Navisworks and technical solutions for identified inconsistencies.

** Ensuring coordination of HVAC systems with BMS/DDC control, Smoke Extraction, and Fire Damper Control systems.

** Verification of incoming Shop Drawings, Material Submittals, and technical documentation; preparation of responses to RFIs and support for design changes during project progress.

** Ensuring project compliance with Georgian building regulations and international standards, including ASHRAE, SMACNA, EN, ISO, and NFPA requirements.

** Quality control of design documentation before issuance and technical evaluation of received design documentation.

** Constant communication and participation in technical meetings with Site Engineers, Project Managers, designers, subcontractors, and suppliers.

** Timely communication of project progress and problematic issues to management.

** Support and, if necessary, coordination of junior drafters and engineers.

Qualification requirements:

** Higher education in engineering (plumbing-ventilation, energy, thermal engineering, mechanical engineering, or related fields).

** At least 2-5 years of experience in HVAC system design.

** Knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit MEP.

** Knowledge of HVAC calculation programs (e.g., HAP (Carrier), CHVAC, Ductizer, Pipe Sizing, or other thermal calculation programs, Midea Selection).

** Practical experience in thermal-technical, aerodynamic, and hydraulic calculations, equipment selection, and engineering calculations.

** Experience in preparing BOQ and technical specifications.

** Knowledge of local regulations and international standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, EN, NFPA).

** Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel for engineering calculations).

** English language skills at the technical documentation level.

Working conditions:

** Schedule: Monday-Friday; 10:00-19:00 or 09:00-18:00.

** Location: M. Machavariani 65.

** Travel requirements: Batumi; company covers travel expenses.
