A Public Law Entity, Grigol Tsulukidze Mining Institute, announces an open competition for the following vacant scientific positions:

The Center for Underground Construction and Mining Technology, Laboratory of Rope Systems, Senior Researcher

Number of positions - 1

Remuneration - 1600 GEL.

Type of work - Full-time.

Functions:

• To conduct scientific activities in accordance with the Charter of the Center and Laboratory, program and individual plan;
• To independently determine the research topic and work program (plan-schedule) and submit it to the Scientific Council of the Institute with the recommendation of the head of the Laboratory and Center;
• To participate in compiling the laboratory's prospective research work plan and seminar work;
• To submit a report on the work performed to the Scientific Council;
• To prepare articles, papers, and with the recommendation of the head of the Center and Laboratory, the consent of the Director and the Scientific Council, to publish them in Georgian or international journals;
• To participate in symposia and conferences with the recommendation of the head of the Center and Laboratory, the consent of the Director and the Scientific Council;
• To submit projects for financing to Georgian or other international scientific foundations with the recommendation of the head of the Center and Laboratory, the consent of the Director and the Scientific Council;
• To participate in improving laboratory bases and forming scientific creative teams to ensure high-quality performance of research work;
• To participate in other scientific work carried out at the Institute with basic funding within the competence;
• To participate in the activities of working groups and commissions within the competence;
• To perform other tasks and instructions of the Directorate, Center and Laboratory heads within the competence.

Education:

• Higher technical or natural science education;
• Doctor's or equivalent academic degree.

Work experience:

At least 2 years of experience in scientific-research activities in the direction of laboratory activity.

Knowledge of legislation:

• The Law of Georgia "On Science, Technology and Their Development";
• General knowledge of the "Labor Code of Georgia";
• Charter of the Public Law Entity Grigol Tsulukidze Mining Institute;
• General knowledge of the legislation of Georgia "On State Secrets";
• Regulatory acts related to safety and technical protection;
• Current regulatory documents related to laboratory activities.

Language skills:

• Good knowledge of the Georgian language;
• Knowledge of English or Russian.

Computer skills:

** Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Microsoft Office Excel, Microsoft Office PowerPoint, and internet.

Specific knowledge and experience:

Ability to systematize, analyze, publish, prepare reports, and present research results.

Functions:

** Conducting scientific activities in accordance with the department and laboratory regulations, program, and individual plan;

** Independently determining the research theme and work program (plan-schedule) and submitting it to the Institute's Scientific Council upon the recommendation of the department and laboratory head;

** Participating in compiling the laboratory's prospective research work plan and seminar activities;

** Submitting a report on the work performed to the Scientific Council;

** Preparing articles and papers and publishing them in Georgian or international journals upon the recommendation of the department and laboratory head, and with the consent of the director and Scientific Council;
