Black Sea Terminal Batumi Ltd. announces a vacancy for the position of Chief Power Engineer.

Qualification Requirements: Education and Certificates - Education: Higher technical education (in the field of energy, electrical engineering or a related field).

Certification and Licenses: - High group qualification in electrical safety (usually group V for admission to work with installations above 1000 volts). - Knowledge of labor safety standards and legislation.

Professional Knowledge and Skills: - In-depth knowledge of the rules for the arrangement and operation of electrical systems, gas supply, heating-ventilation and water supply networks. - Experience in managing technical maintenance of power equipment, planned preventive repairs and emergency restoration works. - Ability to effectively consume energy resources, optimize costs and plan energy efficiency projects. - Experience in interacting with relevant state and regulatory bodies, as well as supplier companies (e.g. Telasi, Energo-Pro, Socar, etc.). - Ability to read and analyze technical drawings and diagrams (knowledge of AutoCAD or other engineering programs will be considered an advantage).

Work Experience: - At least 3 years of experience in the energy, production, infrastructure or energy supply sector

Main functions and responsibilities in accordance with the job description/internal document: - Operation and management of power systems - Ensuring the uninterrupted and safe operation of the organization's energy systems. - Constant monitoring and control of the technical condition of power equipment and networks.

Planning and Technical Maintenance - Compilation and implementation of planned-preventive repair and technical inspection schedules for energy equipment. - Operational elimination of malfunctions and emergency situations arising in energy systems, analysis of their causes and taking preventive measures. - Organization of proper technical operation and timely repair of energy devices and energy systems. - Ensuring correct and continuous operation, proper functioning and periodic inspection of the port's diesel generators and gas economy. - To ensure continuous and accident-free operation, constant control over compliance with labor protection and safety regulations, production sanitation and fire safety rules; operation of power plants, use and protection of power devices and networks, protection of underground structures and communications, control, protection and automation systems, and timely repairs. - Control over the production of work related to timely cleaning of electrical rooms, electrical columns, all electrical nodes in workshops, warehouses and storages on the port territory, and checking the insulation protection of wires. - Organization of periodic measurements of grounding contours and testing of dielectric means, ensuring the implementation of protective works for underground structures and communications, and timely submission of technical supervision bodies for the port's electrical economy. - Participation in the preparation of applications for the purchase of energy equipment, materials and spare parts necessary for the operation of the port's electrical economy. - Supervision of the technical condition of the port's energy objects. - Control over the work performed by managing organizations for the maintenance of the port's energy economy, checking the quality of services, devices and materials provided by managers and suppliers. - Control over the performance of repairs and inspections of energy equipment.

Energy Resource Accounting and Optimization - Planning of energy consumption limits and budget, cost control and analysis. - Development and implementation of projects/events aimed at increasing energy efficiency and resource conservation.

Safety and Compliance with Standards - Ensuring strict compliance with electrical and energy safety rules, labor protection and fire safety regulations. - Conducting safety briefings for technical personnel and monitoring their qualifications.

Documentation and Interaction with External Organizations - Interaction with energy supply companies and regulatory bodies, participation in the preparation of contracts and monitoring of condition fulfillment. - Production of relevant technical documentation, logs and accounting forms.

Team Management and Development - Coordination of daily activities of the energy service/technical personnel, redistribution of tasks and control of their implementation. - Conducting labor protection and safety technique instructions for department employees at established periodicity. - Ensuring that department employees are familiar with and execute the director's orders regarding issues related to their functional duties. - If necessary, by order of the manager, being ready to perform work outside working hours, during emergency situations and in cases of production necessity.
