Go Developer

Andersen is hiring a Go Developer for a project developing a scalable enterprise platform and delivering modern payment and system integration solutions. Our customer is an international organization operating in the financial and protection services domain. The company provides a diverse portfolio of customer-oriented solutions across multiple business areas and markets. With a strong focus on digital capabilities, operational excellence, and long-term development, the organization continuously invests in technology, process improvement, and service innovation to support evolving customer and business needs. The project is focused on developing and enhancing an enterprise platform with multiple product streams, including core business functionality, system integrations, and payment processing. It supports the evolution of the platform through scalable development, seamless integrations, and reliable payment workflows.

Responsibilities: - Building and evolving a real-time cross-selling platform, working with real-time data flows and business logic for personalized offers within an insurance context. - Owning the backend powering multiple user-facing apps, advancing our gRPC-based microservice architecture. - Designing and maintaining REST/gRPC APIs for integration with core insurance platforms and third-party services (risk scoring, KYC, payments). - Working with PostgreSQL to model and manage transactional data such as policies, claims, and customer records, including audit trails. - Implementing event-driven workflows using RabbitMQ or Kafka to handle claims, policy updates, and notifications reliably. - Writing and maintaining unit and integration tests, with particular attention to logic involving monetary calculations and claims/premium accuracy. - Instrumenting services with Grafana/Prometheus to monitor critical flows and proactively catch issues before they impact users. - Actively participating in code reviews to ensure the platform and codebase meet the highest quality standards. - Taking a proactive role in all aspects of platform design and development, with a strong emphasis on scalability, availability, and resilience. - Collaborating closely with Business Analysts, QA, and DevOps within an Agile/Scrum framework, translating evolving business and regulatory requirements into technical solutions. - Contributing to architectural decisions that balance flexibility for multiple consuming apps with long-term maintainability and fault tolerance.

Requirements: - Commercial software development experience for 6+ years, including 4+ years with Go in production. - Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field. - Strong hands-on experience with Golang, including concurrency (goroutines, channels). - Proven experience building and maintaining gRPC-based microservices and REST APIs. - Experience with PostgreSQL, Docker, and RabbitMQ or Kafka. - Experience with unit/integration testing and service monitoring using Prometheus and Grafana. - Experience designing scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant backend systems. - Strong understanding of resilience, idempotency, and SLA-driven system design. - Extensive experience implementing and integrating AI solutions within engineering teams. - Experience in fintech or banking domains and with complex system integrations. - Strong ownership mindset, active participation in code reviews, and experience working in Agile/Scrum teams. - Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate+ and above.

Nice to have: - Prior experience in insurance other regulated domains. - Familiarity with data privacy/compliance standards (GDPR, PCI DSS). - Understanding of core insurance concepts (policies, underwriting, claims lifecycle).

Compensation: 2375–3875 EUR per month.
