Associate Professor - Academic Writing

LLC "European University" announces an open competition for the Faculty of Business and Technology to fill the following academic position:

Within the Georgian and English-language undergraduate educational programs of Computer Science: Academic Writing direction (with an academic sign) (Georgian/English): one position of Associate Professor.

Competition (qualification) requirements:

To fill the academic position of Associate Professor (with an academic sign), a person must meet the following requirements:

• Have a doctoral or equivalent academic degree
• Have at least 3 years of scientific-pedagogical work experience
• Have scientific publications or be a co-author of publications in the direction of the relevant course/course themes (within the last 5 years)
• Have experience in developing a relevant course syllabus (print or electronic version)
• Knowledge of English at B2 level is mandatory

Competition documentation:

A person interested in participating in the competition must submit the following documents electronically (by email) at the stage of submitting documents:

• Application for participation in the competition, indicating the relevant field and academic position. The applicant fills out the application for only one position/one field.
• Autobiography (CV) in Georgian and English, in the format of a resume developed by the university (see the application and CV form at the following electronic link);
• Copy of the identity document;
• Copies of educational documents confirming qualification (in case of education received abroad, including a scientific degree of a candidate of sciences (equivalent to a doctoral academic degree), the candidate must submit a document confirming the recognition of education);
• Copies of documents confirming pedagogical experience at a higher educational institution and scientific works adequate to the competition position/field, or copies of them (published within the last 5 years);
• Relevant syllabi (print or electronic version);
• A certificate issued by the Service Agency of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia on "Conviction for crimes against sexual freedom and inviolability".

The competition will be held in accordance with the "Personnel Selection Procedure" of LLC European University and will consist of two stages:

• First stage - selection and evaluation of documents submitted by applicants.
• Second stage - conducting a demonstration lecture.

Competition deadlines:

• The competition is announced on September 16, 2026;
• The deadline for submitting documents for applicants wishing to take the academic position is from October 16 to October 22, 2026;
• The first stage of the competition will be held no later than October 29, 2026;
• The second stage of the competition will be held no later than November 5, 2026;
• The results of the competition will be announced to applicants no later than November 6, 2026;
• The deadline for submitting an appeal application by the applicant is from November 9 to November 10, 2026.
