The Dance Teacher at the Youth Day Center is responsible for the timely and effective implementation of events planned within the project framework. They will ensure the conduct of dance lessons for the center's students.

Main responsibilities:

  • Assist the Program Manager and Day Center Coordinator in planning and implementing the educational process;
  • Plan and conduct dance lessons considering the age, interests, and abilities of children and adolescents;
  • Create a positive, friendly, and safe learning environment for children;
  • Consider the individual abilities and needs of each child;
  • Use teaching methods that are understandable and age-appropriate for children;
  • Promote children's involvement and prevent bullying, humiliation, or discrimination against children;
  • Prepare individual and group dance numbers for center events;
  • Is obliged to observe and effectively lead all events and activities provided by the educational program within the project framework;
  • Is obliged to provide timely information to the Day Center Coordinator and consult on possible problems or unforeseen changes;
  • Is responsible for paying due attention to the beneficiary, both on the center's territory and outside, during events planned by the project;
  • Is obliged to provide parents with all important information about their child/ward;
  • Participate in general meetings of program employees;
  • Is responsible for the project's inventory, which is accounted for;
  • Is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and discipline;
  • Is obliged to provide timely information to the person responsible for the educational process and consult on possible problems or unforeseen changes;
  • During the project implementation period, be guided by Caritas' core principles and values;
  • Is obliged to be an active member of the program staff group;
  • Annually submit a report on their activities;
  • Perform other tasks assigned by management as needed.

Qualification requirements:

Education and experience

Required:

  • Education or professional training in dance, choreography, or a related field
  • At least two years of experience working with children
  • Experience working with socially vulnerable groups

Knowledge and skills

  • Ability to work in a stressful environment, experience in managing crisis situations
  • Good communication skills
