English Teacher

"Baxwood School - Tbilisi" is announcing a vacancy for the position of English Teacher for the 2026-2027 academic year at the Zugdidi campus.

"Baxwood International School" was established in 2000 as the United Nations Association International School in Tbilisi. In 2007, the school moved to Upper Zugdidi, where it received the name "Baxwood School" in 2009. Thus, the first educational space in Georgia was created, based on the traditional British educational model, which already has 26 years of experience in the field of education.

Since 2023, a new campus of "Baxwood School" has been operating on Gelovani.

Competition rules and stages

• The first stage involves the selection of presented documentation according to qualification requirements;
• The second stage will involve an interview with the head of the department;
• At the third stage, an interview will be conducted with the school's academic director and HR/development manager.
• During the competition, the school will proactively contact only the candidate who has moved to the next stage.

After the competition is completed, any applicant has the right to request information about the results in accordance with the procedure established by the legislation of Georgia.

Qualification requirements: Education:

• Higher education in the relevant subject field (bachelor's or master's degree) or in the field of educational sciences;
• A certificate confirming completion of a teacher training program (60-credit course or integrated master's program) or the relevant status established by law (senior, leading or mentor teacher).

Work Experience

• At least 1-2 years of experience as a teacher of the relevant subject in the educational sector (experience working in an international school will be considered an advantage);
• For a novice teacher, experience of successfully completing school practice or internship.

• Required Competencies:
• Perfect knowledge of the Georgian language; knowledge of English at a high level, considering the specifics of an international school, will be considered a significant advantage;
• Knowledge of the subject curriculum, national curriculum, and international educational standards;
• Ability to independently develop long-term (annual) and short-term (semester, thematic, lesson) plans and effectively use them in the teaching process;
• Possession of modern, interactive, student-centered teaching methods and differentiated approaches;
• Knowledge of various tools for assessing students' academic achievements (formative and summative assessment) and objective use;
• Effective classroom management, creation of a positive, caring, and respectful learning environment;
• Identification of students' individual needs and support for inclusive education principles (in collaboration with a special teacher);
• Digital literacy: proficiency in school management electronic systems, educational platforms, and office programs.

• Patience, flexibility, tact, and emotional resilience;

Working Conditions

• Workload: 09:30 - 17:00 (Monday-Friday, according to the lesson schedule);
