Position Summary The EHS Engineer is fully responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of the project's environmental, health and safety (EHS) management systems for the wind farm construction in Georgia. This position ensures unconditional compliance with the Organic Law of Georgia on Labor Safety, Ministry protocols, international standards and LLC "Infinite Energy" corporate governance regulations.
Key Responsibilities - Daily on-site supervision, strict compliance with Georgian safety legislation, technical regulations and risk control parameters. - Development, updating and implementation of the project's site environmental, safety and security plan, emergency preparedness and response protocols and site environmental management plans (SEMP). - Conducting strict safety inspections, on-site inspections and job safety analysis (JSA), recording and notifying non-compliance, and operating corrective actions implemented by subcontractors. - Coordination and mandatory implementation of comprehensive EHS instructions, routine instructions and high-risk technical safety trainings (e.g. working at heights, crane lifting, strong currents) for all site employees. - Conducting detailed expert examination of any on-site accidents, incidents or environmental deviations; discussing regulatory incidents and taking preventive measures. - Act as the primary point of contact with local Georgian regulatory bodies, including the Labor Inspection Service under the Ministry of Health, and the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture.
Qualifications and Professional Requirements - Bachelor's or higher degree in Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, Civil Engineering or equivalent technical field. - 3+ years of experience in EHS site management, directly in wind power plant projects, substation infrastructure or complex energy EPC assets. - Must possess a valid, certified Occupational Safety Specialist certificate officially recognized and accredited by the Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Protection of Georgia. - Knowledge of the Organic Law of Georgia on Labor Safety and regional legal environmental assessment frameworks. - Fluent knowledge of English and/or Russian and Georgian languages (as provided by local communication regulatory acts). Basic knowledge of Chinese will be considered an advantage.
