3. A person with a doctoral or equivalent academic degree can be elected to the position of assistant professor for a term of 4 (four) years,
4. A doctoral student can be elected to the academic position of assistant for a term of 3 (three) years.
The positions of professor, associate professor, assistant professor, and assistant can be filled through an open competition, as well as by professional designation.
To be selected for an academic position by professional designation, a candidate must meet the following requirements/criteria: a person can be elected as a professor if they have at least 6 years of experience working in leading positions in the relevant field, and as an associate professor if they have at least 5 years of experience working in the professional field. In both cases, their qualification must be confirmed by special training and/or publications. A person can be elected as an assistant professor if they have at least 4 years of experience working in the relevant field and their qualification is confirmed by special training and/or publications. A person can be elected as an assistant if they have at least 2 years of experience working in the relevant field.
The selection competition will be based on the analysis of the submitted documents and, if necessary (to clarify certain aspects), an interview and/or a public lecture.
The competition for the positions of professor, associate professor, assistant professor, and assistant is based on the following criteria/indicators:
- Scientific academic degree;
- Work experience (length of service);
- Supervision/review of doctoral theses;
- Experience working in an administrative/academic position;
- Additional academic responsibilities/functions (program leadership, department leadership, academic discipline leadership, leadership of student scientific associations/individual scientific supervision (including preparation of scientific reports at the undergraduate level); membership in the Academic Council, membership in the Dissertation Council/Commission, etc.);

- Grant research project
- Monograph/textbook/scientific article (in local and/or international publications);
- Citation index
- Participation in international and/or local academic/scientific forums;
- Membership in international and/or local academic/scientific organizations;
- Participation in government/non-governmental temporary/permanent commissions
