About the position The Civil and Structural Engineer will provide engineering management, rigorous electrical verification, and civil construction supervision for the entire wind energy installation. The scope includes heavy foundation systems for wind turbine generators (WTG), mass concrete, structural steel towers, substation facilities, mountain access roads, and geo-hazard slope mitigation.
Key Responsibilities - Review, audit, and approve civil-structural and electrical drawings, geotechnical investigation logs, foundation calculations, and reinforcement diagrams presented by subcontractors. - Provide on-site engineering supervision during critical construction of WTG foundations, with a focus on mass concrete mixes, thermal hydration crack mitigation, and high-tensile anchor cage installation. - Directly manage the quality of civil earthworks, drainage infrastructure, mountain access roads for heavy transport, and auxiliary substation civil-structural assets on the construction site. - Ensure absolute engineering compliance with European structural construction codes (Eurocodes - EN) and Georgian national building norms (SST/PN). - Manage civil engineering hold-points, supervise structural laboratory tests (concrete cylinder compression, soil Proctor tests), and conduct construction site structural safety audits.
Education and Experience - Bachelor's or higher degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Geotechnical Engineering. - At least 5 years of experience in construction/civil engineering, with at least 2 years of experience in wind turbine foundations or large-scale utility infrastructure works. - In-depth operational knowledge of Eurocodes (EN) and local Georgian building codes. Proficiency in mass concrete hydration thermal management models is mandatory. - Competence in structural engineering and layout software such as AutoCAD, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, or specialized foundation tools. - English language proficiency (B1-B2), professional (C1-C1) knowledge.
