Cost Estimator

"Decoline" - a construction and renovation company is announcing a vacancy for the position of Cost Estimator.

Main responsibilities:

• Preparation of BOQ based on project, drawings, technical task and specifications;
• Calculation and verification of work volumes;
• Determination of material quantities and specifications;
• Determination of unit prices of construction and renovation works and materials;
• Searching, comparing and analyzing prices from suppliers and subcontractors;
• Separation of work and material costs and calculation of project self-cost;
• Preparation of the full project budget;
• Detailed examination of existing BOQs and identification of possible inaccuracies / omitted works;
• Calculation of the value of additional / reduced works in case of changes (Variation Orders);
• Preparation of information necessary for cost control during project implementation;
• Preparation of cost estimates for tenders and commercial offers;
• Parallel work on several projects and fulfillment of tasks within the established deadlines.

Qualification requirements:

• Higher education in construction, engineering, architecture, construction economics or a related field;
• At least 3 years of work experience in the field of cost estimation;
• Experience in independently preparing BOQs for construction and renovation projects;
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documentation;
• Good knowledge of construction materials and technologies;
• Knowledge of market prices for construction and renovation works and experience in searching / comparing prices;
• High-level knowledge of Microsoft Excel;
• Ability to work with large amounts of data;
• High accuracy and attention to detail;
• Analytical thinking and high level of responsibility;
• Ability to meet deadlines.

Desirable:

• Knowledge of AutoCAD and experience in extracting quantities from drawings;
• Knowledge of CostX, PlanSwift, Bluebeam or similar programs;
• Experience in preparing cost estimates for state or private tenders;
• Experience working on international / commercial projects;
• Relevant professional certificate or qualification.
