Employer Highscores: the employers who answer now go first
Job seekers on findjobs.ge sent 1,062 applications in the last 30 days, sixteen times a week what they sent in our first week, and the Candidate Highscores now reward the ones who apply the most. From today the other side is rewarded too. Every employer account has a Responsiveness Score: a number out of 100 for how quickly applications are opened, answered and decided. Eighty or more puts a “Responsive” badge on your listings and lifts them on the board; the top 10 each month win Pro. The score is earned by answering people and cannot be bought.
01 Why we built it
The Candidate Highscores, launched yesterday, reward the people who apply the most and apply well; their applications arrive in gold, first in the inbox. The natural next step is to reward the employers who read and answer them, because the best job board for a job seeker is the one where applying leads somewhere, and the best one for an employer is the one the most active people come back to. An answered application is the strongest signal a listing can carry, so from today it is visible on the listing itself, and it moves the listing up.
02 How the Responsiveness Score works
- 30 points for the share of applications opened within two days
- 40 for the share answered within a week: a message of 20 or more characters, or any decision
- 20 for the share decided within fourteen days: shortlisted, interview, hired, on hold or declined all count
- Up to 10 for interviews given, one per application
- Only applications you could read count, and an application younger than its window is not yet a miss
- At least five opened applications in the month to be scored; ten, and a score of 80 or more, to win a seat; ties go to whoever answered more people
It is a share, not a sum, so a shop with nineteen applications stands beside a chain with two hundred. The score is recomputed every hour and shown on your desk with the four shares, what is waiting, and what each answer would change.
03 What a score of 80 or more brings
- The “Responsive” badge on every listing and on the company page, with the share answered inside it: the one thing an applicant cannot otherwise know
- Up to 72 hours of extra freshness on the vacancies board, inside the listing’s own band, and none below 80: Promoted stays first, Pro second, and a listing never changes band
- On the 1st, the top 10 win Pro: 30 days and 30 bumps for first place, 14 days and 20 bumps for the podium, 7 days and 10 bumps for the rest of the ten, plus a lasting badge on the company page
- The top five sit on the job seekers’ Highscores page, the busiest page on the site, all month
04 What changes for job seekers
A badge on a listing now tells you whether anyone will read you. The public board at findjobs.ge/highscores/employers names the employers who answer, with the share they answered within a week. If an employer invites you, you will know it is a Pro account that saw your first name and rank on the board and nothing else; the switch beside “Show my first name and photo” turns invites off.
05 Fair play
- Applications from flagged accounts, withdrawn ones and the employer’s own address are left out, the same list the Candidate Highscores use
- Opening alone scores only the first share; a one-word reply does not count as an answer
- A decline counts exactly as much as a shortlist: the applicant hears back either way
- Rewards are granted on the 1st from the final standings and are never taken back; an account that games the score can be excluded from the board
06 What moves every day
A month is long. The score desk now shows four tiers (Bronze at 50, Silver at 65, Gold at 80, Platinum at 90) with a bar that fills inside the tier you hold and the number of answered applications it would take to reach the next one. Every answer shows what it did the moment it is sent: the score before and after, the place before and after, and whether the badge just switched on. And there is a streak: working days in a row with at least one answer. Weekends neither count nor break it, and every five days pay: two extra free opens that week for a free account, three bumps for a Pro one.
07 Privacy
The Responsiveness Score names companies, never applicants. It is worked out from the timing of the employer’s own actions on applications it already holds; no application, note or CV is shown anywhere new. Invites share nothing about a job seeker until they choose to apply. The privacy policy and the terms both have a paragraph on it.
