Financial Director

Agrofix Georgia is announcing a vacancy for the position of Financial Director (CFO).

Job Type: Part-time

Work Location: Tbilisi, near the Justice House (hybrid work arrangement possible)

Job Purpose: Effective management of the company's financial sustainability, cash flow, agro-risk insurance/reduction, optimization of investments (equipment, land, infrastructure), and management of state/international grants and agro-credits.

Key Responsibilities:

Cash Flow and Capital Management Planning working capital, considering the cyclical nature and seasonality of the agricultural sector (managing high expenses during planting/harvesting periods and revenue during sales periods). Preventing cash flow deficits during off-season periods. Financial control of inventory (fertilizers, fuel, pesticides, finished products) cost and turnover.

Agro-Financing, Grants, and State Programs Effective utilization and management of state-preferred agro-credits and subsidies (e.g., "Preferred Agro-Credit", "Plant the Future", etc.). Interaction with international donor organizations (IFC, EBRD, FAO, USAID, etc.), preparation and reporting of grant/investment projects. Structuring agro-loans with commercial banks.

Production Cost Analysis and Calculation (Cost Accounting) Accurate calculation and control of unit cost per hectare/ton for each crop/product. Analysis and optimization of equipment, fuel, fertilizer, labor, and irrigation costs. Evaluation of yield financial efficiency.

Budgeting, Forecasting, and Financial Modeling Preparation of operational and capital (CAPEX) budgets (new orchard planting). Creation of scenario-based financial models (Best/Worst/Base Case) considering natural/climatic factors and price fluctuations.

Agro-Risk Management and Insurance Assessment of climatic (hail, frost, drought) and market risks. Management of the agro-insurance portfolio and negotiation of optimal terms with insurance companies. Management of product price fluctuation risks.

Financial Accounting, Reporting, and Tax Optimization Maximum utilization of tax benefits applicable to the agricultural sector and compliance with legislation. Preparation of management and financial statements.

Requirements:

Education: Higher education in Finance and/or Economics Experience: At least 5 years of experience in the financial sector, with 2-3 years of experience in the agro or adjacent sector preferred. Specific Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of agro-loans, state subsidies, grant projects, and agro-insurance mechanisms. Technical Skills: Complex financial modeling in Excel. Language Skills: Fluent knowledge of Georgian, English (B2), and other languages will be considered an advantage.
