AI Engineer

Andersen is hiring an AI Engineer on-site in Abu Dhabi for a project building enterprise AI solutions and enabling secure, scalable automation of business processes. Our customer is a public-sector organization responsible for advancing digital innovation and modernizing services across multiple domains. It supports strategic initiatives in emerging technologies, collaborates with industry and research partners, and develops long-term technology frameworks for improving operational efficiency and service accessibility. The organization focuses on secure, scalable, and sustainable digital development to drive continuous improvement within the broader ecosystem. The project is focused on building and operating enterprise-grade AI capabilities. The AI platform enables intelligent automation of workflows, correspondence, document processing, knowledge retrieval, and decision-support use cases while maintaining strict governance, security, and auditability requirements.

Responsibilities: - Designing and developing AI agents with tool/function calling and multi-step orchestration. - Building MCP servers and integrations with Microsoft Graph, records management, procurement, HR, and enterprise systems. - Implementing multi-agent architectures, state management, retries, fallback mechanisms, and governance controls. - Designing and operating RAG pipelines for bilingual Arabic/English enterprise knowledge. - Developing document intelligence capabilities including classification, extraction, summarization, and action detection. - Deploying and optimizing model-serving infrastructure in on-premise environments. - Implementing model routing between external and local LLMs. - Performing model fine-tuning and optimization when necessary. - Establishing AI evaluation frameworks, observability, monitoring, and regression testing. - Implementing AI security controls, auditability, compliance, and governance requirements. - Contributing to enterprise platform development using Python and TypeScript. - Defining engineering standards, performing code reviews, and evaluating emerging AI technologies.

Requirements: - Experience in software engineering for 6+ years. - Production experience with LLM-based systems for 2+ years. - Strong Python expertise. - Hands-on experience with OpenAI, Claude, or open-source LLM ecosystems. - Experience building AI Agents with tool/function calling. - Experience with MCP, LangGraph, or equivalent orchestration frameworks. - Production experience with RAG architectures. - Knowledge of vector databases (pgvector, Qdrant or similar). - Experience implementing AI evaluation and observability frameworks. - Strong API and backend engineering skills. - Experience with PostgreSQL and distributed services. - Docker and Kubernetes experience. - Experience with CI/CD and DevOps. - Understanding of AI security, prompt-injection mitigation, and governance. - Ability to work directly with business stakeholders and lead technical conversations. - Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above.

Nice to have: - On-premise AI infrastructure experience. - LLM and TensorRT-LLM expertise. - Experience in GPU infrastructure planning and optimization. - LoRA / QLoRA fine-tuning experience. - Experience in government, public sector, or highly regulated industries. - Microsoft Graph, Microsoft 365, and Entra ID integration experience. - Arabic NLP experience. - Arabic language proficiency. - AI governance and compliance frameworks experience (ISO 27001, ISO 42001, UAE IA Standard). - AI-102, CKAD, or AI Governance related certifications. - Experience defining AI engineering standards and mentoring other engineers.

Compensation: 6000–8600 EUR per month.
