BTK Railway announces a vacancy for an IT Specialist position

Company Description: JSC "BTK Railway" - a joint venture founded on the basis of an international agreement between Georgia and the Republic of Azerbaijan, which manages the infrastructure of the Marabda-Kars railway section of the "Baku-Tbilisi-Kars new railway line".

Main duties and responsibilities

• Configuration, administration (RouterOS) of MikroTik and unmanaged routers: firewall, NAT, DHCP, VLAN, traffic management
• Ability to build, diagnose and troubleshoot the network (LAN/WAN), knowledge of TCP/IP and DNS
• Administration of Windows Server: management of user accounts and access (rights), file storage administration, creation, recovery and monitoring of backups, installation, configuration and troubleshooting of computers, office and other necessary programs
• Inclusion and setup of printers and scanners in the network (IP addresses, drivers, sharing, troubleshooting and control of toner/drum condition)
• Configuration, inclusion in the network, setup of remote access and diagnostics of IP cameras, DVR/NVR and solar-powered autonomous cameras
• Management of domains and hosting: DNS records (A, MX, TXT, etc.), setup of email accounts, control of deadlines
• Technical support of employees and timely elimination of malfunctions (onsite and remotely)
• Ensuring information security: antivirus, updates, password and access policy, network protection
• Periodic preventive visits to railway objects
• Ensuring the proper functioning of audio/video equipment in the conference room
• Coordination of technical issues with Internet providers

Qualification requirements Education:

• Higher education (IT)

Work experience

• At least 2 years of work experience in technical support

Professional knowledge and skills

• Knowledge of computer equipment and network devices
• Knowledge of video cameras and IT infrastructure configuration/troubleshooting
• Ability to quickly diagnose and solve technical problems
• Perfect knowledge of Georgian and Russian languages. Knowledge of English will be considered an advantage
