Hydroelectric Power Plant Engineer

LLC "Georgian Renewable Energy Operations" is announcing a long-term position for a Hydroelectric Power Plant Engineer.

The goal of the position is to ensure the smooth and uninterrupted operation of the company's hydroelectric power plant.

Work location: Mestia, Svaneti.

Work schedule:

3 weeks of onsite work / 1 week of rest (onsite presence is mandatory during the work period)

Main responsibilities

• Ensuring the proper and uninterrupted operation of electrical and mechanical devices required for the operation of the hydroelectric power plant: generators, transformers, turbines, and others;
• Performing planned inspections of electrical devices, mechanical units, and other auxiliary equipment, as well as preventive and repair works;
• Identifying the causes of large-scale damage, timely informing the direct supervisor, and organizing/monitoring restoration works;
• Operating high-voltage devices;
• Managing subordinate personnel:

o Developing work schedules; o Monitoring and recording personnel attendance; o Providing onsite training to personnel; o Controlling performed work; o Introducing new instructions, regulatory acts, and methodologies implemented in the company; o Constantly caring for the improvement of the qualifications of subordinate personnel.

• Maintaining the inventory allocated to its balance; operating inventory, units, and aggregates in full compliance with the rules of exploitation;
• Ensuring the observance of technical operation and disciplinary norms among subordinates;
• Ensuring compliance with labor and technical safety rules and norms provided by Georgian legislation, as well as the requirements of the company's regulatory documents and instructions on labor safety;
• Implementing disciplinary measures in the company in case of violation of safety rules by subordinate employees;
• Ensuring subordinate personnel with the necessary inventory and collective and individual protection equipment;
• Preparing regular reports on planned and performed works;
• Knowing and sharing the mission, goals, values, and worth of LLC "Georgian Renewable Energy Operations";
• Full compliance and protection of the conditions provided by the employment contract and these instructions;
• Timely and qualitative performance of assigned duties;
• Compliance with the company's internal regulations, regulations, and orders.

Mandatory requirements

• Higher education in the field of energy;
• At least 2 years of experience working in a similar field;
• Experience working with electrical installations;
• Knowledge and experience of working with electrical and mechanical parts;
• Ability to read technical drawings and documentation;
• Knowledge of safety standards and regulations;
• High sense of responsibility and attention to detail;
• Technical English language skills;
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
