The LEPL "National Botanical Garden of Georgia" announces a vacancy for an Agronomist position in the Department of Decorative Plant Collections and Garden Design.

Workplace: Tbilisi, Botanikuri St. #1

Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday 08:30-17:30

Remuneration: 1760 GEL (accrued)*

*Note: The accrued salary is subject to taxes as provided by Georgian legislation.

Functions and Responsibilities:

• Planning the garden's decorative design, floral design, and plot maintenance and updates;
• Managing agrotechnical works on collection and decorative plots and ensuring plant care;
• Timely identification of plant pests and diseases and implementation of plant protection measures;
• Coordination of gardeners' activities, distribution of tasks, and supervision of the process.

Qualification Requirements:

• Higher education in Agronomy, Horticulture, or Plant Protection;
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar position (practical experience in plant care and agrotechnical work is required);
• Additional professional courses in plant protection, fertilizer application, irrigation systems, or nursery management are desirable;
• Basic knowledge of office computer programs (MS Office).

• Ability to work in a team, manage, and effectively allocate time;
• Organizational skills, attention to detail, and high sense of responsibility;
• Ability to work with garden inventory and in an active work environment.
