Full Stack QA Engineer

Andersen is hiring a Full Stack QA Engineer for a project developing an integration layer and ensuring reliable data exchange and seamless communication across multiple systems. Our customer is an international organization operating in the financial and protection services domain. The company provides a diverse portfolio of customer-oriented solutions across multiple business areas and markets. The project is focused on developing and maintaining an integration layer that enables seamless communication and data exchange between core systems and multiple external platforms, ensuring reliable and efficient support of business processes.

Responsibilities: - Designing, developing, and maintaining automated API, integration, and E2E tests using Java, REST Assured, and TestNG. - Maintaining and improving test automation frameworks, reusable QA libraries, regression suites, and CI/CD quality gates. - Performing functional, exploratory, integration, smoke, regression, and E2E testing of APIs, backend services, and integrations. - Analyzing requirements and OpenAPI/Swagger specifications to define test coverage, risks, dependencies, and automation scope. - Validating API behavior, integration flows, and data consistency across APIs, databases, and integrated systems, including SQL-based validation. - Creating and maintaining test scenarios, test data, QA artifacts, repositories, and documentation. - Investigating and reporting defects with supporting logs, API requests/responses, and other technical evidence. - Supporting contract and component testing using Pact, WireMock, and related approaches. - Collaborating with development and API teams to improve testability, automation coverage, QA processes, and overall testing strategy. - Coordinating performance testing and supporting release validation, defect triage, Agile ceremonies, and release-readiness assessment.

Requirements: - Experience in full-stack QA for 3+ years, covering both manual testing and Java-based test automation. - Hands-on experience testing web applications, backend services, REST APIs, integrations, and end-to-end user flows. - Strong experience with functional, integration, regression, and exploratory testing, including test scenario design and defect investigation. - Ability to independently analyze requirements, identify risks and gaps in acceptance criteria, and define appropriate testing approaches. - Hands-on experience with Java-based API and integration test automation using REST Assured or similar libraries. - Experience with JUnit/TestNG, Maven/Gradle, Git, and CI/CD pipelines. - Good understanding of microservice-based architectures and distributed application environments. - Experience with Swagger/OpenAPI, Postman, SQL, application logs, and browser developer tools. - Ability to validate data consistency across UI, APIs, and databases. - Experience maintaining automated regression suites and pipelines and contributing to release-readiness decisions. - Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and collaborating closely with Developers and Product Owners. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with a proactive approach and ownership of product quality. - Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above.

Nice to have: - Experience with UI test automation. - Experience testing systems using message brokers such as Kafka or RabbitMQ. - Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes. - Experience with monitoring and observability tools. - Experience with API contract testing and contract-testing frameworks.

Compensation: 2400–3900 EUR per month.
