Mechanical Systems Engineer

Public Service Development Agency of Georgia - Municipal Development Fund announces a competition for a vacant position of Mechanical Systems Engineer in the Project Planning and Evaluation Department.

Vacant position: 1 (one) unit;

Work place: Tbilisi;

Working hours: Monday-Friday, 09:00-18:00, full-time (labor contract);

Remuneration: 4960 GEL;

Functions and responsibilities:

Detailed revision of mechanical systems (fire protection, water supply, sewerage, drainage and irrigation systems) drawings, calculations and technical documentation prepared by project teams; determination of their compliance with applicable standards, legislative regulations and customer requirements (ToR).

In-depth knowledge of fire protection (NFPA, EN 12845), water supply and sanitation systems and design experience.

Close cooperation with other engineering directions (architecture, construction, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, electrical) involved in the current project; elimination of inaccuracies and errors (collisions)

Technical and economic analysis of project solutions, identification of inefficient solutions and development of recommendations for cost optimization (cost-effective and energy-efficient).

Active participation in project review working meetings, preparation of technical notes and recommendations.

Periodic inspection of ongoing works at the facility and quality control (as needed).

Qualification requirements:

Education:

Higher technical education (water supply and sanitation / civil engineering / mechanical engineering or adjacent engineering field).

Work experience:

The candidate must have at least 5 years of work experience in the field of design, installation works or technical supervision of water supply, sewerage, drainage and fire protection systems.

Professional knowledge and skills:

Knowledge of local building codes and international standards (e.g. NFPA 13/14/20, IPC, EN, DIN, СНиП)

Ability to plan and organize work;

Effective communication and negotiation skills; ability to work independently;

Teamwork skills;

High sense of responsibility.

Computer programs, operating systems

Office programs: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Gmail,

Knowledge of design and engineering programs (AutoCAD, Revit MEP).

• Resolution No. 255 of the Government of Georgia of May 31, 2019, "On the Rules and Conditions for Issuing Construction Permits and Accepting Buildings into Operation";

• Resolution No. 261 of the Government of Georgia of June 3, 2019, "On the Basic Provisions for Regulating the Use and Development of Territories";

• Resolution No. 558 of the Government of Georgia of October 30, 2015, "On the Establishment of the Public Legal Entity - Municipal Development Fund of Georgia, Determination of the Supervisory Board and Approval of its Statute";

• The Law of Georgia "On Combating Corruption".

The competition will be held in two stages - selection of applications and interviews.
