Head of Electronic Resources Division at the Library

"Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University" announces a competition to select a candidate for the position of Head of Electronic Resources Division at the Library (1 full-time and 1 part-time position).

The salary for the position of Head of Electronic Resources Division (both full-time and part-time) is 1130 GEL per month (including income tax and pension contributions). Working hours are from 09:00 to 18:00 every day, except weekends.

The applicant is required to have:

A bachelor's academic degree / professional education;

Knowledge of the regulations in force at the university, specifically: Law of Georgia "On Higher Education"; Law of Georgia "On Copyright and Related Rights"; Law of Georgia "On Library Business"; University Charter; University Library Regulations.

The applicant must have:

Computer skills;

Teamwork and effective communication skills.

The employee in the position of Head of Electronic Resources Division at the Library of "Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University" is required to perform the following functions:

Digitization of library documents;

Processing of scanned library documentation pages, conversion to PDF and/or Flash format;

Preparation of electronic versions of library documents for placement on the website;

Placement of electronic versions of library documents in the electronic catalog and on the library's website;

Ensuring the proper functioning of existing electro-mechanical and automation devices;

Searching for and implementing innovative software and technical means;

Ensuring the proper functioning of software.

The applicant wishing to participate in the competition is required to submit the following documents:

An application addressed to the competition committee;

A CV in Georgian (PDF version) electronically;

Copies of documents confirming education and qualifications;

A copy of the ID card or passport photo page;

A document describing professional experience, if available (an extract from the labor book / certificate from the employer, etc.);

In case of being selected for the announced vacancy, the applicant must submit a certificate from the Personnel Management Department "on conviction for crimes against sexual freedom and inviolability".

The selection of the applicant will be carried out by the competition committee based on the review of the application package. If the documents are not complete, the applicant's documents will not be considered by the competition committee. The applicant whose submitted documents meet the competition requirements will be interviewed by the selection committee (the specific date and time will be notified in advance). The results of the interview will be notified to the applicant personally.
