Job duties:
Familiarization with working drawings and technical tasks, preparation of the surface and marking of the area to be covered; Measuring, cutting, and processing tiles according to the required size and shape; Preparation and use of adhesive mixtures and other installation materials; Laying ceramic and other types of tiles on walls and floors, maintaining proper alignment and even seams; Filling seams, cleaning the surface, and performing hydro-isolation works if necessary; Checking the quality of the performed work and eliminating identified defects; Arranging the workspace and tools, observing safety rules; Observing fire-prevention and sanitary-hygiene rules.
Qualification requirements:
Relevant professional education (desirable); Experience in laying tiles or covering walls and floors.
Must know:
Basic technology of tile laying and rules for using installation materials; Basic methods of surface preparation, taking measurements, and determining the required amount of materials; Reading working drawings and sketches; Rules for cutting and processing tiles, filling seams, and quality control; Safe use of tools and electric instruments.
