Category Purchasing Manager

In the Imereti region, the leading retail chain "Family Retail" is looking for a Category Purchasing Manager.

Terms and Conditions

• Location: Kutaisi

• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 09:00-18:00

• Salary: 2000 GEL (hand-paid)

Main Responsibilities

• Assortment Management: Development of category development strategy; Introduction of new products/brands; Identification and limitation of low-turnover, inefficient products.

• Relationship with Suppliers: Search for new suppliers and alternative sources; Conduct commercial negotiations; Preparation, signing of contracts and control of compliance with agreed conditions.

• Pricing and Profitability: Determination of pricing policy and price increase; Monitoring of competitors' prices and assortment.

• Promo and Merchandising: Planning of marketing campaigns and evaluation of results; Setting standards for product placement on shelves (merchandising); Commercial planning of new/reorganized facilities.

• Inventory and Loss Management: Control of optimal inventory levels and limits; Management of deficits and slow-moving inventory; Reduction of write-offs and losses.

• Analytics and Collaboration: Analysis of sales, profitability and inventory turnover; Effective collaboration with internal departments (operational, logistics, finance, etc.).

Qualification Requirements

• Experience: Experience working as a Category Manager or Purchasing Manager in the retail trade.

• Software Skills:

• Experience working with 1C ERP.

• High-level knowledge of MS Excel (data analysis, Pivot Tables, formulas).

• Education: Higher education (preferably: Business Administration, Economics).

• Languages:

• Georgian language - perfectly;
• English language - conversational level (B2).

• Strong analytical thinking.

• Ability to conduct effective negotiations.

• Time management and attention to detail.
