QA Automation Engineer (Go)

Responsibilities: - Designing, developing, and maintaining automated tests using Go, applying principles of efficient and idiomatic Go code (including interfaces, goroutines, and channels in the context of testing). - Building and improving test automation frameworks for backend services and APIs. - Writing reliable, clean, and scalable test code aligned with automation best practices. - Developing unit, integration, and end-to-end tests for distributed systems, understanding their differences and role within the testing pyramid. - Setting up, configuring, and troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines for automated test execution—not just integrating but fully maintaining test pipelines. - Running automated tests in local Docker-based environments and managing test dependencies using containerized setups. - Performing root cause analysis of test failures and improving automation stability. - Collaborating with developers, QA engineers, and product teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage and overall product quality. - Supporting manual testing when required to ensure full feature coverage. - Documenting automation processes, test architecture, frameworks, and internal tooling.

Requirements: - Experience as a QA Automation Engineer, including hands-on experience with Go for 2,5+ years. - Strong understanding of automated testing principles, SDLC, and QA methodologies. - Experience automating tests for APIs, microservices, and backend systems. - Knowledge of Go language, frameworks, and testing libraries (e.g., Testify, GoMock). - Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and Dockerized environments. - Experience with REST APIs, JSON, and tools like Postman or Swagger. - Understanding of version control (Git) and code review processes. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above.

Nice to have: - Experience with Kubernetes, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), or distributed systems. - Knowledge of performance or load testing tools. - Familiarity with message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ).

Compensation: 1250–2400 EUR per month.
