Math Teacher

"Gia Murgulias Universal School" is announcing a vacancy for a Math Teacher for basic and secondary levels.

The school was founded in 2026. Its goal is to educate a Georgian, a citizen of Georgia, for whom the study, understanding, loyalty, and adoption of national values as life principles are important; at the same time, to form the student as a successor of world culture.

The school declares that it sets as a fundamental task the creation of a Georgian school that will compete with the best international analogues in terms of education quality.

To achieve the goal and solve the problem, the school offers the community modern standard infrastructure and creates a team of managers, teachers, and employees who can meet the highest academic, organizational, and recognized success-oriented requirements.

Qualification requirements:

Relevant higher education (preference will be given to candidates with a master's/doctor's or equivalent academic degree); At least 5 years of practical experience as a math teacher for basic and secondary levels (in a public or private school); Experience in planning and implementing subject programs within the school curriculum; Knowledge of English (desirable).

Functions and responsibilities

• Leading the educational process, focusing on the school's mission, vision, values, educational principles, and long-term learning objectives;

• Conducting math lessons using diverse approaches, including project-based, problem-solving, research, and discovery learning;

• Creating subject curricula;

• Developing educational resources, including digital ones;

• Supporting the holistic development of students by enhancing cognitive, emotional, social, and moral competencies;

• Implementing teaching models that focus on developing high-level thinking skills (critical, analytical, creative thinking);

• Fostering a culture of self-directed learning in students;

• Enhancing responsibility, self-assessment, and reflection skills;

• Designing integrated and multidisciplinary learning experiences: thematic unit-based learning and out-of-school learning initiatives;

• Integrating modern technologies into the learning process;

• Boosting students' intrinsic motivation using modern pedagogical and psychological approaches;

• Ensuring personalized learning: systematic monitoring of each student's progress, developmental assessment, and planning targeted interventions;

• Communicating with parents;

• Active collaboration with colleagues to share experiences in various aspects of the educational process;

• Active participation in school quality management and continuous improvement processes, initiating and implementing innovations;

• Focusing on professional development;

• Creating a safe, supportive, and positive learning environment that promotes high engagement and motivation.

Competition stages:

I stage - Review and selection of resumes; II stage - Interviews with selected candidates; III stage - Conducting a simulated lesson if necessary; IV stage - Presentation of subject curricula.
