Head of the Children's University Department of the Center for Student Services and Career Development

The Public Service "Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University" announces a competition to select a head of the Children's University Department of the Center for Student Services and Career Development.

The salary of the head of the Children's University Department of the Center for Student Services and Career Development, as determined by the TSU staff schedule, is 2000 (two thousand) GEL per month (including income and pension contributions).

Selected candidates will be employed for a three-month probationary period (with the prospect of employment). Other conditions of employment will be specified in the employment contract. The applicant must meet the following requirements:

a) Have a master's or equivalent academic degree;

b) Have 3 years of work experience, including at least 2 years of experience in the education sector and at least 1 year of experience in a leadership position;

c) Know one foreign language (writing, reading, speaking).

c) Know office computer programs (Microsoft Office; Internet Browser).

The applicant is expected to have the following personal qualities:

Creativity and creativity; Attention and detail orientation; Efficiency; Ability to work independently and effectively on different tasks at the same time; Teamwork and communication skills; Ability to justify; ability to work in force majeure situations; Punctuality and effective time management; Ability to adequately perceive changes and quickly adapt to new things.

The applicant must be familiar with:

1) The Law of Georgia on General Education; 2) The Law of Georgia on Higher Education; 3) Orders of the Minister of Education of Georgia on general and higher education; 4) Regulations in force at TSU, arising from the specifics of the position.

The person selected for the position of head of the Children's University Department of the Center for Student Services and Career Development will be required to perform the following obligations:

1) Development and implementation of "TSU Children's University" projects; 2) Increasing the university's recognition among students, organizing excursions to the university, increasing students' interest in studying and science, and assisting in career orientation; 3) Cooperation with other links of the education system - the Ministry of Education and Science, educational resource centers, schools, educational centers subordinate to municipalities, similar services of foreign universities, etc. 4) Coordination of the "TSU-Despan" project; 5) Involving students in activities to respond to the challenges facing the country through "TSU Children's University" projects; 6) Development and implementation of career planning and development courses for school students; 7) Development and implementation of career orientation courses for school students; 8) Execution of current tasks of the center's head.

Applicants wishing to participate in the competition must submit the following documents:

a) Application; b) CV in Georgian (PDF version of the document) electronically; c) Copy of the diploma confirming higher education; d) Copy of the ID card or passport photo page; e) In case of winning the competition, the applicant must submit a certificate - "On conviction for crimes against sexual freedom and inviolability" to the Personnel Management Department.

The selection of applicants wishing to participate in the competition will be carried out on the basis of the consideration of the application package by the competition commission. Applicants whose submitted documents meet the competition requirements will undergo an interview with the selection committee (the specific date and time will be notified in advance). The results of the interview will be notified to the applicants personally.
