Leader of Data Collection and Processing Team

ACT Global is looking for a Leader of Data Collection and Processing Team, who will lead the process of data collection and processing, from research operational preparation to handover of a clean, checked, and analysis-ready database.

We are looking for a leader who can improve processes, implement digital tools, coordinate different professional teams, and develop a network of international field partners.

Position purpose:

Manage a unified, efficient, and development-oriented system of data collection and processing, which ensures the delivery of quality data within agreed deadlines and budget. The main priorities of the position are process optimization, digital development and automation, improvement of data quality, and strengthening of the international field network.

Key tasks:

Manage the full cycle of data collection, from agreeing on requirements with researchers, work plans, and delivery criteria to providing an analysis-ready base; Coordinate selection, respondent search, questionnaire programming, and piloting; Organize face-to-face, telephone, and online fieldwork, monitor quotas, progress, and deadlines; Manage the quality control system at all stages, from interview verification to data cleaning, coding, and documentation; Ensure confidentiality and protection of ethical standards; Optimize processes and establish uniform standards; Implement, integrate, and automate digital systems; manage the use of AI tools and validation of results; Develop a network of international field partners, agree on cooperation conditions, and assess their work; Coordinate multi-country projects with uniform standards; Lead fieldwork, call center, selection, programming, and data processing teams: set goals, distribute workload, develop employees, and enhance inter-team collaboration; Plan and control budget and resources, assess unit cost and technological investments; Determine project feasibility, deadlines, and cost with research and commercial teams.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in research operations, fieldwork, or research data management, including at least 2 years in a leadership position;

• Practical knowledge of in-person, phone, and online data acquisition processes;

• Knowledge of selection, quota, and respondent recruitment principles;

• Familiarity with data quality control, cleaning, and processing procedures;

• Experience in process optimization or digital system implementation;

• Experience managing teams with diverse functions, parallel projects, and external partners;

• Ability to manage budget, resources, and performance indicators;

• Fluent professional communication in English and Russian.

Will be considered an advantage

• Experience in managing international or multi-country field projects and developing a partner network;

• Experience working with digital research platforms and data processing or automation tools, such as SQL, SPSS, R, or Python;

• Knowledge of field markets in the Caucasus and Central Asia.

Working conditions

• Work location: Tbilisi, Zurab Anjaparidze #4, I lane
• Work schedule: Monday-Friday, 10:00-18:00 (3 days onsite, 2 days possibility of online work)
