Head of ML Platform Team

About the position We are looking for a Head of ML Platform Team to join the Data Analytics team at Bank of Georgia. This position will be responsible for managing and developing the Machine Learning Platform team. You will play a strategic role in creating and developing the Machine Learning Platform ecosystem, which includes building tools for data discovery, migration, model training, deployment, and monitoring.

You will have the opportunity to work in a team that creates the best AI products among banks in 22 countries in Central and Eastern Europe.

Key Responsibilities Team leadership and strategy: - Manage, motivate, and facilitate the professional development of the ML Platform team;

• Develop the ML Platform development strategy and roadmap;

• Ensure standardization of machine learning infrastructure;

• Research and implement new technologies and methodologies.

Product development: - Automate the management of the ML models' life cycle;

• Set up model registration, deployment, and monitoring processes;

• Develop data validation and retrieval mechanisms;

• Simplify the use of models in business processes.

Collaboration with stakeholders: - Collaborate with Data Analytics department teams to understand their needs;

• Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and engineers to detail tasks;

• Determine ML Platform priorities according to business requirements;

• Coordinate with data analytics and science teams.

Qualifications and experience - At least 3 years of experience in machine learning or data engineering;

• Preferably at least 2 years of experience in a team leadership position;

• General knowledge of MLOps principles and practices;

• Experience with machine learning platforms (MLFlow, Kubeflow, or similar);

• Experience with data infrastructure (Hadoop, PostgreSQL, Big Data technologies);

• Experience with programming languages (Python, Scala, Java);

• Experience in managing projects using Scrum/Agile methodology.
