Head of Building Maintenance and Operations Service

LLC "BTK Railway" - a joint venture established on the basis of an international agreement between Georgia and Azerbaijan, which manages the infrastructure of the Marabda-Kardzakh railway section of the "Baku-Tbilisi-Kars New Railway Line".

The company is announcing a vacancy for the position of: Head of Building Maintenance and Operations Service

Main functions and responsibilities

• Organization and management of the service activities, leading and coordination of the team;
• Monitoring and maintenance of the condition of buildings and structures on the Marabda-Kardzakh section;
• Planning, organization and supervision of current and capital repairs of buildings;
• Ensuring the proper functioning of underground communications (water, gas, sewage, etc.);
• Identification and timely resolution of problems related to communal issues;
• Participation in budgeting of relevant operational and repair works;
• Interaction with contractors performing construction/repair works and control over their activities;
• Production of technical documentation, reporting and relevant records;
• Ensuring labor safety and compliance with relevant regulatory requirements;
• Coordinated work with relevant company services and external agencies (municipality, public utilities, etc.).

Qualification requirements Education:

• Higher education in construction, civil engineering, architecture or related fields (master's degree is desirable).

Work experience

• At least 5 years of work experience in construction/operations;
• At least 2 years of experience in a managerial/leadership position;
• Experience in managing infrastructure (including railway) projects is desirable.

Professional knowledge and skills

• In-depth knowledge of construction norms and rules (SNIP/technical regulations);
• Experience in managing technical operation and current repairs of buildings and structures;
• Knowledge of underground engineering communications (water supply, gas supply, sewage);
• Ability to plan projects and manage budgets;
• Team management and effective communication skills;
• Knowledge of computer programs used in the construction industry (e.g. AutoCAD and similar);
• Perfect knowledge of the Georgian language; knowledge of Russian and/or English will be considered an advantage.

• Ability to make independent decisions;
• Ability to work effectively in stressful situations;
• Flexibility and readiness for business trips.
