AML Specialist

Credit Service + LLC, a microfinance organization, has been operating since 1999 and has 50 branches across different regions of Georgia.

The company is announcing a vacancy for an AML Specialist position in Tbilisi.

Job Responsibilities

• Implementation and monitoring of Anti-Money Laundering and Combating the Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT) policy
• Performing customer identification (KYC) and due diligence (CDD/EDD) procedures
• Detection, analysis, and preparation of internal reports (STR/SAR) on suspicious transactions
• Verification and processing of alerts generated by the transaction monitoring system
• Checking sanctions lists and politically exposed persons (PEP) databases
• Reporting to the Public Service of Financial Monitoring of Georgia/ National Bank of Georgia in accordance with legislation
• Preparation of materials for external and internal audits
• Participation in the preparation of semi-annual reports.

Requirements Education and Experience

• Higher education in law, economics, finance, or a related field
• At least 2-3 years of practical experience in the AML/CFT field (preferably in the financial sector)
• Possession of a CAMS or other AML certificate will be considered an advantage

Legal Knowledge

• In-depth knowledge of the Georgian Law "On the Prevention of Money Laundering and Financing of Terrorism"
• Knowledge of the National Bank's AML/CFT regulatory acts
• Familiarity with FATF recommendations and international standards
• Knowledge of sanctions (OFAC, EU, UN) and PEP regulatory standards

Practical Skills

• Experience working with transaction monitoring systems (TMS)
• Analytical thinking and attention to detail
• Good level of MS Office skills (especially Excel)
• Experience working with ALTA – B6 program (will be considered an advantage)
• Experience handling confidential information
• High sense of responsibility and good communication skills
